Latvian Education Delegation of 2019 Visits China
2019年5月26日至6月6日，华南师范大学成功举办了国家汉办2019年拉脱维亚教育工作者访问活动。这次活动由孔子学院管理办公室主办，由拉脱维亚大学孔子学院组织，成员包括拉脱维亚道家瓦皮尔斯大学副校长，教育发展署资深专家，叶卡布皮尔斯市议会副主席，克拉斯拉瓦中学副校长，拉脱维亚大学外事处长等教育部门官员及学校负责人。华南师范大学副校长吴坚出席了开营和闭营仪式。
在粤访问的12天中，访问团听取了国际教育合作、粤港澳大湾区经济发展、岭南文化等主题讲座。游览了越秀公园、岭南印象园、锦绣中华民俗文化村、陈家祠、荔枝湾等具有广东特色的人文及自然景观。参观了深圳前海、腾讯公司总部、大潮起珠江改革开放展览馆，一汽-大众华南基地。访问了广东省教育厅、暨南大学、华南师范大学国际文化学院，并与拉脱维亚籍留学生以及汉语国际教育专业硕士代表进行座谈。
在闭营仪式上，拉脱维亚访华团代表玛雅布里玛（Maija Burima）女士对组织并参与此次活动的老师及志愿者们表达了谢意。她表示，通过本次活动，访问团成员们对广东省和广州市、深圳市的历史文化和社会发展情况有了亲身的体验和直观的感受，收获非常丰富。她期望能在拉脱维亚大学孔子学院及各地孔子课堂的基础上，进一步加强与华南师范大学的合作与交流。
From May 26th to June 6th, 2019, South China Normal University successfully hosted the visit activity of Latvian educators in 2019. The event was hosted by Hanban and organized by the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia. The Latvian Education Delegation includes the vice president of the Daugavpils University, the senior Expert of the Education Development Agency, the vice president of the Jekabpils City Council, the vice president of the Kraslava Secondary School and the director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the University of Latvia. Wu Jian, Vice President of South China Normal University, attended the opening and closing ceremony.
During the 12 days of the visit, the delegation attended lectures on the topic of international education cooperation, economic development of Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Dawan District, and Lingnan culture. They visited cultural and natural landscapes with Guangdong characteristics such as Yuexiu Park, Lingnan Impression Park, Jinxiu Chinese Folk Culture Village, Chen’s ancestral temple, Lichee Bay and so on. The delegation also visited Qianhai in Shenzhen, Tencent’s headquarters, Reform and Opening Exhibition Hall and FAW-Volkswagen’s South China Base. In addition, they visited the Education Department of Guangdong Province, Jinan University and the International Culture College of South China Normal University. They also had a discussion with Latvian overseas students and the representatives of the students whose major is Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages in International Culture College of South China Normal University.
At the closing ceremony, Ms. Maija Burima, representative of the Latvian delegation, expressed her gratitude to the teachers and volunteers who organized and participated in the event. She said that through this event, the members of the delegation had a personal experience and intuitive experience of the history, culture and social development of Guangdong Province, Guangzhou City and Shenzhen City, and they learned a lot. She hopes to further strengthen cooperation and exchanges with South China Normal University on the basis of the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia and the Confucius Classroms all around Latvia.
