Delegation of Foreign Affairs Office of Guangdong Province Visits Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia
6月25日下午，广东省外事办公室副主任仓峰一行6人访问拉脱维亚大学孔子学院并进行座谈。拉脱维亚大学孔子学院拉方院长贝德高教授、中方院长尚劝余教授、汉语教师曾庆君和林婕在拉脱维亚大学议会厅接待了广东省外事办代表团。出席本次座谈的还有拉脱维亚外交部官员安德里斯（Andres）。
两位院长对仓峰一行的到来表示了热烈欢迎，并就拉大孔院与华南师范大学的合作情况，孔院本部、下设孔子课堂和各教学点的课程安排及教学情况进行了介绍。
安德里斯高度赞扬了拉大孔院，表示拉脱维亚外交部会继续大力支持孔院工作。
尚劝余表达了对里加与广东省相关城市合作成为友好城市的期许，并希望广东省可以派文艺代表团体走进拉脱维亚各地进行交流演出，宣传中国传统文化。
贝德高向代表团介绍了其编写的《汉拉大词典》与即将出版的《我的中国故事》，并介绍了自己与中文结缘的经历。
仓峰指出两国沟通语言是桥梁，贝德高“立德、立功、立言”，编写词典功德无量。仓峰表示，广东省外事办非常期待以此次访问为契机，与拉脱维亚在相关领域开展教育合作。
On the afternoon of June 25th , Cang Feng, vice director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangdong Province, and other five officers visited the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia and held a discussion. Prof. Pēteris Pildegovičs , Latvian director of LUCI, Prof. Shang Quanyu, Chinese Director of LUCI, Chinese teachers Zeng Qingjun and Lin Jie hosted the delegation at the chamber of affairs of the University of Latvia. Andres,official of Latvian Foreign Ministry also attended the meeting.
The two directors of LUCI expressed their warm welcome to the arrival of delegation.They also introduced the cooperation between Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia and South China Normal University. The teaching arrangements and teaching conditions of the Confucius Institute , Confucius Classroom and each teaching points were also introduced.
Andres highly praised the Confucius Institute and said that the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to support the work of the Confucius Institute strongly.
Prof. Shang Quanyu expressed his hopes for cooperation between Riga and related cities in Guangdong Province to become friendly cities, and hoped that Guangdong Province could send literary and artistic delegations to travel throughout Latvia to promote Chinese traditional culture.
Prof. Pēteris Pildegovičs introduced his Chinese-Latvian Dictionary and the forthcoming book My Chinese Story to the delegation. He also introduced his experiences that how he became attached to Chinese.
Cang Feng pointed out that the language exchange between different countries is a bridge. Prof. Pēteris Pildegovičs “Worth, Work, Words” , his dictionary is a meritorious to mankind. Cang Feng said that the Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office is very much looking forward to taking this visit as an opportunity to carry out educational cooperation with Latvia in related fields.
