Teachers and Students Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival In Jelgavas Spidolas Middle School

当地时间9月17日，叶尔加瓦斯比杜拉中学的汉语教师志愿者郑玉馨与汉语课堂初中必修班的学生共同庆祝了中国传统节日——中秋节。

汉语教师志愿者以播放视频的方式为学生介绍了中秋节的起源与传说，通过生动有趣的图片为学生们讲解了《后羿射日》《嫦娥奔月》等神话故事。随后教师邀请学生一起品尝中秋月饼，共同品味传统佳节的乐趣。最后，学生们共同动手画嫦娥、折玉兔，并学习说出“中秋节快乐”,互相表达祝福之情。

此次中秋节活动，不仅激发了学生学习汉语的兴趣，更使他们感受了中国节日之美，加深了他们对中国传统文化的了解。

On September 17th, local time, Zheng Yuxin, a volunteer chinese teacher at the Jelgavas Spidolas Middle School, and the students of the Chinese Class Junior High School Compulsory Class celebrated the traditional Chinese festival- the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The volunteer chinese teacher introduced the origins and legends of the Mid-Autumn Festival to the students by playing videos. Through vivid and interesting pictures, the teacher explained the myths such as ” Houyi shooting the suns” and ” Chang’E Flies to the Moon“. The teacher then invited the students to taste the Mid-Autumn moon cake together to enjoy the fun of the traditional festival. Finally, the students jointly painted and folded the rabbits, and learned to say “Happy Mid-Autumn Festival” to express their blessings.

The Mid-Autumn Festival event not only stimulated students’ interest in learning Chinese, but also made them feel the beauty of Chinese festivals and deepen their understanding of Chinese traditional culture.
