Ambassador Liang Jianquan was invited to visit the Confucius Institute at University of Latvia

当地时间2019年10月16日上午，中国驻拉脱维亚大使梁建全应邀访问拉脱维亚大学孔子学院，随行的还有刘继民领事。孔子学院外方院长贝德高教授、中方院长尚劝余教授、汉语教师志愿者邹亚平和焦文静热情接待了大使一行。

梁建全大使首先参观了拉脱维亚大学孔子学院办公室，了解了孔子学院近年来的发展与建设情况，询问了有关孔子学院目前师资安排、中文教学、中文人才培养、教学点设置等方面的问题。接着，大使肯定了贝德高教授在编纂词典、汉语教学与研究等方面的突出贡献，希望拉脱维亚大学孔子学院可以继续培养出更多高水平的汉语人才，为增进两国相互了解、搭建未来友好交往的桥梁而努力奋斗。最后，大使一行前往拉脱维亚大学教师俱乐部用餐。

本次融洽和谐的访问之行，促进了中国驻拉脱维亚大使馆与拉脱维亚大学孔子学院的交流，为双方开展全方位、多领域合作创造了有利条件。

On October 16, 2019, local time, Chinese Ambassador to Latvia Liang Jianquan was invited to visit the Confucius Institute at University of Latvia, accompanied by Consul Liu Jimin. The director of the Confucius Institute Professor Peteris Pildegovics and Professor Shang Quanyu, Chinese teachers Zou Yaping and Jiao Wenjing warmly received the ambassador.

Ambassador Liang first visited the Office of the Confucius Institute at University of Latvia to learn about the development and construction of the Confucius Institute in recent years and asked questions about the current faculty arrangement, Chinese teaching, Chinese language training, and teaching point setting for the Confucius Institute. Then, the ambassador affirmed Professor Peteris Pildegovics outstanding contributions in the compilation of dictionaries, Chinese teaching and research. He hoped that the Confucius Institute at University of Latvia could continue to cultivate more high-level Chinese talents and enhance mutual understanding and future friendship. Work hard on the bridge of communication. Finally, they went to the Latvian University Teachers’ Club for lunch.
