The Second Semester Chinese Class of Confucius Classroom at Riga Cultures Secondary School Starts as Scheduled

On the evening of January 6, local time, the students in Confucius Classroom at Riga Cultures Secondary School and Chinese teacher Li Xin ushered in the first Chinese lesson of the new semester. The students were very excited to say happy new year to the teacher. The teacher welcomed the students again in the new semester.

At the beginning of the class, the Chinese teacher and students exchanged greetings, and the students were very excited to show their new image to the teacher. In a cheerful atmosphere, the teacher took the students to review the knowledge learned last semester in the form of games, and guided the students to express their holiday life with the knowledge learned. Some students spoke seriously and shared interesting things about the holiday. The teacher was surprised by their sudden increase in Chinese vocabulary. The students happily said, “I have been learning Chinese by myself during the holiday”. The teacher praised the students’ learning enthusiasm and encouraged everyone to continue to love learning Chinese this semester.

Finally, the Chinese teacher explained the teaching objectives of this semester and gave a classroom task for everyone to write down the Chinese learning plan for the new semester in their notebooks.

里加文化中学孔子课堂第二学期中文课开课

当地时间1月6日晚，拉脱维亚里加文化中学孔子课堂的学生们与汉语教师李欣一起迎来了新学期的中文课第一课，学生们很激动地对老师说着新年好，老师对新学期再次见到同学们表示欢迎。

上课之初，汉语教师和学生们进行了问好寒暄，学生们很激动地给老师展示自己的新形象。在欢快的氛围下，老师带着学生以游戏的形式对上学期学过的知识进行回顾，引导学生用学过的知识来表达自己的假期生活。一些学生很认真地发言分享了假期趣事，老师对他们突然增加的汉语词汇量表示惊讶，学生很开心地表示道“我假期也一直在自学中文”，老师表扬了同学们的学习热情并鼓励大家这学期要继续热爱学习中文。

最后，汉语教师讲解了这学期的教学目标，并设置了一个课堂任务，让大家在笔记本上写下新学期的中文学习计划。学生在课后纷纷给老师发来了本学期自己的学习计划，让我们一起开启新学期的中文学习之旅吧！
