The Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia’s March 2023 Chinese Proficiency Test home-based online test was successfully launched

At 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 11, 2023, Beijing time, Latvia’s 2023 second Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK for short) and Chinese Proficiency Speaking Test (HSKK for short) home-based online test officially began. It lasted nine hours and ended at 10 pm Beijing time. One point over. Candidates who participated in this test included ten people from HSK1-6, and seven people from elementary to advanced HSKK. Five exams were organized respectively. The first one was HSK level two, four and six; ; HSK Level 1, Level 3, Level 5 is the third session, HSKK Elementary is the fourth session, and HSKK Advanced is the fifth session. The test adheres to the principle of fairness, impartiality and openness. The invigilator supervises the test through the zoom conference platform, and the test takers answer the questions through the test client provided by Chinese Test International and capture real-time photos.

During the exam preparation stage, Shang Quanyu, the Chinese director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia, actively organized all invigilators to participate in the invigilation training. On March 1, 2023, the invigilator participated in the invigilation training organized by Chinese Test International, and had a detailed and comprehensive understanding of the content of the examination work. For this exam, teacher Bai Bingyu is arranged to be the chief examiner, and teacher Gao Anna is to be the interpreter. The invigilators are allocated reasonably, the pre-test planning is improved, and the invigilators are led by the HSK test client and the zoom conference platform on March 4, 2023 by referring to the past invigilation experience. Intensive simulations are organized for candidates. Candidates who participated in the simulation successfully completed the placement of the test seats and became familiar with the relevant rules and procedures of the online test.

The test process strictly follows the “Chinese Test Management Manual” to ensure the specialization and standardization of the test process. All the invigilators take responsibility, are serious and responsible, and conduct standardized operations in strict accordance with the requirements of the Chinese Test International. They communicated effectively with candidates, verified the identity information of candidates, read out the test instructions, proctored the whole test through the Chinese test system, arranged make-up exams for candidates with network abnormalities, and recorded the test results in a timely manner. The Chinese director inspects the examination rooms at all levels and strictly enforces the discipline of the examination room. The whole exam is strictly regulated and orderly, carefully handles all details, overcomes the technical difficulties of online invigilation, and finally ensures that all candidates can answer the questions and hand in the papers smoothly.

In the post-epidemic era, the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia will continue to promote the Chinese proficiency test, commit to the combination of testing and teaching, innovate in practice, and strive to provide better Chinese proficiency test services for Latvian Chinese learners. 北京时间2023年3月11日星期六下午两点，拉脱维亚2023年第二次汉语水平考试（简称HSK）和汉语水平口语考试（简称HSKK）居家网络考试正式开始，历时九小时，于北京时间晚上十一点结束。参与此次考试的考生包括HSK1-6级共十人，HSKK初级到高级共七人，分别组织了五场考试，HSK二级、四级、六级为第一场；HSKK中级为第二场；HSK一级、三级、五级为第三场、HSKK初级为第四场、HSKK高级为第五场。考试秉持着公平公正公开的原则，监考老师通过zoom会议平台监考，考生通过汉考国际提供的考试客户端进行答题并实时抓拍。

在考试准备阶段，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院中方院长尚劝余积极组织各位监考老师参加监考培训。2023年3月1日，监考老师参加了由汉考国际组织的监考培训，详细全面了解了考务工作内容。此次考试安排白冰玉老师担任总监考官，高安娜老师担任翻译，合理分配监考人员，完善考前策划，参考以往监考经验，于2023年3月4日通过HSK考试客户端和zoom会议平台带领监考老师为考生组织了集中模拟。参加模拟的考生顺利完成了考试机位的位置摆放并熟悉了网考相关规则及流程。

考试流程严格参照《汉语考试管理手册》，确保考试流程的专业化和标准化。各位监考老师担当作为，认真负责，严格按照汉考国际要求进行规范操作。她们与考生进行了有效沟通，核验考生身份信息，宣读考试须知，通过汉考考试系统全程监考，为网络异常考生安排补考，及时记录考试情况。中方院长巡查各级别考场，严格考场纪律。整场考试严格规范，秩序井然，认真处理各项细节，克服线上监考的技术难题，最终保证所有考生顺利答题交卷。
