“Embarking on a Early Autumn Dialogue” – The Faculty of Humanities Kicks off the New Semester “来一场初秋会谈”—人文学院开启新学期

        From September 4th to 8th, 2023, marks the first week of the new academic year at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Latvia. Bai Bingyu, the Chinese teacher, kicked it off with language card games “What Do You Meme” and “A Journey into Your Heart.” Everyone immediately broke the ice after a summer apart, and they engaged their minds to revive their Chinese knowledge from the previous semester. After the highly engaging conversation, students in each class collaborated with Teacher Bai Bingyu to establish new rules for the upcoming semester and suggested many practical ideas for the new course. Finally, Teacher Bai presented everyone with a small Chinese snack gift pack and tackled her first teaching task of the semester: instructing students on how to correctly open Chinese snack packaging. Amidst the laughter, the autumn semester at the Faculty of Humanities has officially begun. We wish all Chinese enthusiasts a productive semester ahead.

        2023年9月4日至8日，拉脱维亚大学人文学院开学第一周，汉语教师白冰玉在校园中见到了汉学专业的许多新老面孔。开学第一课在语言卡牌游戏“What Do You Meme”和“A Journey into Your Heart”中展开，大家立刻打破了一个夏天未见的陌生感，绞尽脑汁唤醒自己上学期的汉语知识。趣味交谈结束后，各个班级的学生一起制订了适合自己的作业和复习形式，为新课程提出了许多可行的建议。最后白老师向大家赠送中国零食小礼包，并接到了本学期第一个教学任务：教学生如何正确打开中国零食的包装。欢声笑语中，人文学院秋季学期的序幕正式拉开。祝愿这些汉语爱好者们插上横竖撇捺的双翼，遨游中文原文的天宇。
