Faculty of Humanities at LU Hosts Spring-themed Chinese Corner Activity 人文学院举办春日主题汉语角活动

Riga, April 19, 2024 – Coinciding with Grain Rain and International Chinese Language Day, the Faculty of Humanities at University of Latvia organized a “Spring” themed Chinese Corner event at the Old Hong Kong Restaurant. Bringing together 20 Chinese language enthusiasts and Chinese international students from various social backgrounds and Confucius Institute, the event was a gathering to share stories of “Spring” and engage in discussions based on randomly selected spring-related keywords. Alongside enjoying delicious Chinese cuisine, attendees also enjoyed a game of Chinese and Latvian version of “Whispers,” filling the room with laughter and joy. The event continued until 9:30 in the evening, with attendees bidding reluctant farewells.

The Chinese Corner remains committed to organizing diverse language exchange activities that stimulate students’ interests and provide an engaging and authentic Chinese-language environment for Chinese language enthusiasts in Latvia.

里加时间2024年4月19日，恰逢谷雨和国际中文日，拉脱维亚大学人文学院“春日”主题汉语角活动在老香港中餐厅举行。本次活动中，来自社会各界以及孔子学院各教学点的20位汉语爱好者和中国留学生欢聚一堂，分享彼此带来的“春”的故事，分组抽取春天的各类关键词进行讨论，在享用美味的中餐之余，还玩起了中文和拉文版的传话筒游戏，欢声笑语不断。活动持续到了晚上九点半，大家才依依不舍地告别。

汉语角将继续致力于以多样的语言交流活动激发学生兴趣、为拉脱维亚汉语爱好者提供有趣真实的中文环境。
