Professor Pildegovičs was awarded the “Brilliance of CI” special honor for the 20th anniversary of the Confucius Institute / 贝德高教授荣获”孔院之光”孔子学院20周年特别致谢牌
On November 16, 2024, the “Inheritance and Development of Confucius Institutes – At 20th, the Confucius Institute Is In Its Prime” theme seminar and the 20th anniversary commemoration of the establishment of the Confucius Institute were grandly held in Beijing, China.
Wu Yan, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education of China, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Wu Yan said that the Confucius Institute has gone through an extraordinary 20-year development process. He hopes that Chinese and foreign friends will work together to meet the needs of people from all countries to learn Chinese and understand China, and jointly build a better future for mankind.
At this seminar, 41 international friends received the “Brilliance of CI” special honor for the 20th anniversary of the Confucius Institute. Professor Pildegovičs, the Latvian director of our institute, was awarded this honor.
He Dong, the Chinese director of our institute, and Karina, the Chinese teacher at the University of Latvia, attended the 2024 World Chinese Conference. More than 1,950 guests from more than 160 countries and regions attended this conference. Teacher Karina went on stage to accept the honor on behalf of Professor Pildegovičs.

中国教育部副部长吴岩出席会议并致辞。吴岩表示，孔子学院走过了20年的不平凡的发展历程。他希望中外朋友们共同努力，以满足各国民众学习中文、了解中国的需求，共建人类美好未来。
本次研讨会上，41位国际友人获得”孔院之光”孔子学院20周年特别致谢牌。我院拉方院长贝德高教授获此殊荣。
我院中方院长何东和拉大汉语教师卡琳娜参加了2024年世界中文大会。本届大会有160多个国家和地区的1950余位嘉宾参加。卡琳娜老师代表贝德高教授登台接受了致谢牌。

He has deeply engaged in Chinese language education, letting the flowers of Chinese culture bloom brilliantly along the Baltic Sea, bringing opportunities for learning and development to hundreds of thousands of Chinese language and culture enthusiasts in Latvia.
