The second meeting of the 12th Council of the Confucius Institute of South China Normal University and the University of Latvia was successfully held / 华南师范大学—拉脱维亚大学孔子学院第十二届理事会第二次会议成功举行

2025年3月31日，华南师范大学与拉脱维亚大学合作共建的拉脱维亚大学孔子学院第十二届理事会第二次会议在线上召开。理事会双方理事长，华南师范大学副校长王春超、拉脱维亚大学副校长艾诺·恩灿（Enno Ence）出席会议。参加会议的其他成员有，中方的谭伟红、赵頔、何东，拉方的贝德高（Peteris Pildegovics）、彼得索内（Baiba Petersone）、鲍葛薇（Agita Baltgalve）。会议由华南师范大学国际交流合作处负责人、谭伟红理事主持。

两位理事长在发言中，高度评价了双方在孔子学院建设发展、学术交流、学生交换等方面合作所取得的成绩，对孔子学院的工作予以充分肯定。他们希望，两校将继续高质量建设孔子学院，积极地开展更多更好的交流与合作。

理事会听取并审议通过了孔子学院两位院长有关拉脱维亚大学孔子学院2024年工作总结与2025年工作计划的报告。会议认为，在理事会的正确领导下，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院在2024年的汉语教学和文化活动等方面取得显著成效，2025年的各项工作方向明确，安排细致。会议指出，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院要再接再厉，努力做出更大成绩。拉脱维亚大学和华南师范大学将进一步增强双方之间的交流与合作，两校将在学术交流、教师互访、学生互换等方面进行深度合作，不断推动孔子学院向前发展。

On March 31, 2025, the second meeting of the 12th Council of the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia, jointly established by South China Normal University and the University of Latvia, was held online. Wang Chunchao, Vice President of South China Normal University and Enno Ence, Vice president of the University of Latvia attended the meeting. Other participants were Tan Weihong, Zhao Di and He Dong from the Chinese side, Peteris Pildegovics, Baiba Petersone and Agita Baltgalve from Latvian side. The meeting was presided over by Tan Weihong, director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of South China Normal University.

In their speeches, the two chairmen spoke highly of the achievements of the cooperation between the two sides in the construction and development of Confucius Institutes, academic exchanges and student exchanges, and fully affirmed the work of the Confucius Institutes. They hope that the two universities will continue to build high-quality Confucius Institutes and actively carry out more and better exchanges and cooperation.

The Council heard, deliberated and adopted the report of the two Directors of the Confucius Institute on the work summary of the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia for 2024 and the work plan for 2025. The meeting held that under the correct leadership of the Council, the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia has achieved remarkable results in the aspects of Chinese language teaching and cultural activities in 2024, and the work direction in 2025 is clear and detailed. The meeting pointed out that the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia should make continuous efforts to make greater achievements. The University of Latvia and South China Normal University will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, and the two universities will carry out in-depth cooperation in academic exchanges, mutual visits of teachers, student exchanges and other aspects to continuously promote the development of the Confucius Institute.
