Exhibition Arrangement for the Silk Road. Ancient Chinese Art and the Celebration in WeiDao Chinese Restaurant
From 22 October 2016 to 8 January 2017, the Art Museum RIGA BOURSE in collaboration with the Art Exhibitions China offers its visitors an exhibition “The Silk Road. Ancient Chinese Art”. The Confucius Institute at University of Latvia is one of the partners of this exhibition. On 16th October, teachers from LUCI, together with 4 experts from State Administration of Cultural Heritage of China，Xinjiang Museum, Henan Province, and workers from Latvian National Museum of Art started to arrange the exhibitions.
Firstly, teachers from LUCI discussed the topic, site, time and material requested of LUCI’s workshop with Ms. Kristina Milere, the Communication Specialist of the Art Museum, and both sides reached an agreement. Later, teachers of LUCI checked the show pieces with the experts from China together. There will be 99 culture relics and 2 facsimiles on show this time. While checking, at the same time the experts also explaining the culture relics to the Chinese teachers. This is the first time for teachers to observe such precious cultural relics closely, the teachers benefit a lot.
After today’s exhibition arrangement, teachers from LUCI went to celebrate in Weidao Chinese restaurant . Weidao restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Latvia that pursuits of excellence and delicacy, and develop Chinese food culture at a higher level. The aim of the restaurant is to develop Chinese food culture, let Latvian people who understand Chinese culture and Chinese people who are in Latvia take Weidao restaurant as their home. After the dinner, both the guests and the hosts are thoroughly enjoying themselves.
