Confucius Classroom at Rezekne University held a dumpling making activity

Latvia local time at 19:30 ,on 25th December,2016, a Chinese cuisine culture activity was under going with laughter.

Before this activity, the Chinese volunteer teacher Zhao Qian had introduced the origin of dumplings and some related cultural stories in the classroom, making everyone know some traditional Chinese culture about dumplings .she also played a video about how to make dumplings and the knowledge of the 24 solar terms . So at the beginning of the activity, one student came up to knead the dough with teacher Zhao together, then waited for the dough Leavened. After the dough was Leavened, people picked up the rolling pin, learning to roll the dumpling skin ,then put the fillings in, and sealed it, dumplings were completed! Finally, students made their unique style dumplings , less than half an hour, several dumplings were made.

Finally, people were eating dumplings , while talking about Chinese food culture from their own views and understanding. In the midst of laughter, this “out of the classroom” Chinese cuisine culture activity came to a perfect end.
