LUCI Participated in NPC Standing Committee Chairman Zhang Dejiang’s Reception

From April 12 to 14, His Excellency Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People Congress of China visited Latvia, met with President Vējonis, Prime Minister Kučinskis, and Saeima (Parliament) Speaker Mūrniece. The delegation members include NPCSC Vice Chairman Wang Chen, NPC Foreign Affairs Committee Chairperson Fu Ying, MFA Executive Vice Minister Zhang Yesui, NPCSC Deputy Secretary-Generals Shen Chunyao and Chen Guomin.

In accordance to the deployment of Chinese Embassy in Latvia, LUCI’s teachers were stationed in Radisson Blu Daugava Hotel and participated in reception. The Chinese teachers were assigned to work in debriefing group, logistic group and liaison group, working on media information summarization, catering supply, liaison and other related work. During the delegation’s visitation, LUCI teachers worked conscientiously and cooperatively. Works from different areas were able to be proceeded in an orderly way. The reception is satisfactorily done. Chairman Zhang Dejiang Expressed his gratitude to the participants when met with representatives from the embassy, Chinese enterprises, Chinese in Latvia and Confucius Institute teachers.
