Riga 34 Secondary School Chinese corner of the Gourmet Experience “China’s tongue”

拉脱维亚当地时间2018年2月18日下午18点，在里加孔子饭店里，一场中国美食文化体验活动正在热火朝天地进行着。里加34中学汉语教师志愿者吴炜带领着五个学习成绩优异的学生，开展了一场以中华美食为主题的校外体验活动。

饮食文化是中华文化的重要组成部分。通过丰富多彩的饮食文化活动，旨在让每一位学生站在丰富多彩的大文化背景下真切地感受中华饮食文化的魅力。在上菜前，志愿者教师先介绍了中国八大菜系，让学生对中华美食有个大概的了解。之后，教会学生说“好吃！”“味道真不错！”等语句。跟随着学生们期待的目光，丰盛的菜肴上桌了，大家一边品尝美食一边学着用中文来评价。初次品尝中国菜的五位俄族学生都对中国菜肴赞不绝口。

俄族学生们和志愿者教师也介绍了自己城市的特色美食。在一片欢声笑语中，这次“走出教室”的中华美食文化体验活动也画下了完美的句号。

Latvian local time February 18, 2018 18:00 at the Confucius Restaurant in Riga, a Chinese food culture experience activity was being carried out in full swing. Wu Wei, a Chinese volunteer teacher in Riga 34 Secondary School, led five students with outstanding academic performance, conducted an off-campus experience-based activity with the theme of Chinese cuisine.

Food culture is an important part of Chinese culture. Through a variety of dietary and cultural activities, we aim to make every student truly feel the charm of the Chinese food culture while standing in a rich and colorful culture. Before serving, volunteer teachers first introduced eight different parts of Chinese cuisine, so that students have a general understanding of Chinese food. After that the teacher taught  students say “delicious!” “Taste really good!” And other phrases in Chinese. Followed by the expectant look of the students, delicious dishes were coming on the table, students eat while learning to use Chinese to evaluate. The five Russian students who taste Chinese food for the first time are very happy and satisfied about Chinese cuisine.

Russian students and volunteer teacher also introduced their own city specialties. In a happy and warm atmosphere, this “out of the classroom” Chinese food culture experience activity had ended.
