Ventspils University College celebrated of the Spring Festival

当地时间2月21日，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院下属的文茨皮尔斯大学教学点举行“做红包，庆春节”新年活动。

此次的春节庆祝活动在大学生中国文化选修课班级展开，他们都是第一次接触汉语。首先，汉语教师志愿者播放2018春节联欢晚会中的《同喜同乐》节目，给学生讲解故事概要，他们都沉浸在欢乐的节目中。其次讲解了春节的时间、传说、习俗以及中国南北方年夜饭的差异。接着学生一起写福字，学习拜年的手势表达新年祝福。最后是做红包活动，在老师的指导下，学生用一张张红纸做出具有中国元素的红包，看着自己设计的红包，他们十分有成就感

整个教学过程，学生学习了中国春节，体验了中国春节的习俗，同时也学会了表达新年的祝福。

The Spring Festival celebration started in Chinese culture elective class for college students. First of all, Chinese volunteer teacher broadcast the “same joy” show from the 2018 Spring Festival Evening Gala and explained the story line to students. They were all lose themselves in the show. Secondly, the teacher explained the time of the Spring Festival-lunar calendar, the legend, the customs and the differences of New Year’s Eve dinner between the south and the north of china. Then, the students wrote the character “Fu” together and learned the gesture of paying a New Year call to express their New Year’s wishes. The last part was to make red packages together. Under the guidance of teacher, students used red paper to design it with Chinese elements. Looking at their own red packages, they had a sense of achievement.

Throughout the teaching ,students learned something about the Spring Festival, experienced the customs of the Chinese New Year, and also learned to express New Year’s blessings.
