The Cultural Experience Event “Welcome Chinese New Year and Send blessings”at Latvia University of Agriculture

当地时间2月12日，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院下属的拉脱维亚农业大学教学点举办“迎新春送祝福”文化体验活动。

新春在即，志愿者教师为大家描述了“贴春联、写福字、红红火火过新年”的传统中国年情景，并介绍了“福”字在中国传统文化中的重要意义以及一些拜年的吉祥话。之后，学员们纷纷拿起准备好的毛笔，蘸上墨汁，在老师的指导下一笔一划地写下自己对中国新年的祝福。

看着眼前似书似画的作品，大家心中的成就感油然而生。本次文化活动不仅让孔子学院的学院们体验了中国书法的神韵风采，更使大家感受到历史长河中积淀千年的中国文化精神。

Local time Feb. 12th, Latvia University of Agriculture held the “Welcome Chinese New Year and send blessings” cultural experience event.

As the Chinese New Year is coming，volunteer teacher Zhang Yang described a traditional scene that “paste spring couplets, write 福, and blooming new year”, explain the significance of word “福” in traditional Chinese culture, and teach several lucky words for New year’s visit. Then, through the guidance, students use the Chinese brush and ink to write down their best wishes for Chinese New Year.

When student look at their painting like calligraphy work, the sense of achievement arise spontaneously. This event not only let the students of Confucius institute experience the verve of Chinese calligraphy, but also make them full in feel with the centuries-old Chinese culture spirit.
