“Far and Close” Chinese Painting Exhibition Inaugurated in  National Library of Latvia

8月17日下午,为纪念拉脱维亚独立100周年和孔子学院日,由拉脱维亚大学孔子学院、拉脱维亚国家图书馆、“飞笔”中国画工作室联合举办的“远和近”中国画展于拉脱维亚国家图书馆拉开序幕。中国驻拉脱维亚大使馆孙应来代办、拉脱维亚国家图书馆副馆长高德柏噶女士、拉脱维亚大学孔子学院拉方院长贝德高教授、中方院长尚劝余教授、俄罗斯中国画艺术家雪莲女士、“飞笔”中国画工作室负责人雪纹女士、大使馆人员、孔院师生、图书馆人员、飞笔工作室师生、中国文化中心人员、当地民众、华人等近百人出席了开展仪式。

孙应来代办、高德柏噶副馆长、贝德高教授、尚劝余教授、著名画家雪莲女士及雪纹女士在开展仪式上分别作了讲话。孙应来代办对画展的开幕式表示祝贺,并强调画展主题“远和近”对拉中两国交流的重要意义,同时介绍了中国画的写意特色,充分肯定了画家雪莲和雪纹俄拉师徒在两国文化交流中的贡献,希望在拉脱维亚迎来独立100周年之际,中拉两国更加繁荣昌盛。高德柏噶副馆长表示作为举办方之一非常荣幸,争取以后能多开展类似的文化活动,丰富人们的精神生活。贝德高教授、尚劝余教授指出本次画展是孔院和“飞笔”中国画工作室及国家图书馆的第三次合作,非常感谢在场来宾的大力支持。画展的主题“远和近”不仅寄予了画家师徒的心愿,也寄予了大家共同的期盼:海内存知己,天涯若比邻。俄拉师徒雪莲、雪纹两位画家表示中国文化艺术博大精深、魅力无限,通过绘画可以将不同国家的文化艺术融合在一起,并希望有更多志同道合的人加入学习中国画、沟通异文化的行列中来。

本次画展展出了雪莲和雪纹师徒两人近30幅中国画作品。师傅雪莲的作品着重对中国风景和人物的刻画,而徒弟雪纹则用中国画的风格来描绘拉脱维亚的山水和花鸟。开幕式后,大家纷纷和雪莲、雪纹师徒交流,了解他们的中国画的学习和创作经历。

On August 17th afternoon, “Far and Close” Chinese Painting Exhibition co-organized by Confucius Institute at University of Latvia, National Library of Latvia and “Flying Brush”  Chinese Painting Studio was inaugurated in the National Library of Latvia. Mr. Sun Yinglai, Chargé d’affaires of Chinese Embassy in Latvia, Ms. Anita Goldberga, Deputy Director of National Library of Latvia, Prof. Peteris Pildgovics and Prof. Shang Quanyu, Latvian and Chinese Directors of LUCI, Ms Yulia Naumova, Chinese Painting Artist who come from Russia, Ms. Jekaterina Belyaeva, Head of the “Flying Brush” Studio, stuffs of Chinese Embassy, Chinese teachers and students of LUCI, stuffs of National Library of Latvia, teachers and students of  “Flying Brush” Studio, stuffs of Chinese Culture Center, Latvian people and Chinese people almost one hundred people participated in the ceremony.

 

Chargé d’affaires, Sun Yinglai, Deputy Director, Anita Goldberga, Prof. Peteris Pildgovics, Prof. Shang Quanyu, Ms. Yulia Naumova, and Ms. Jekaterina Belyaeva made addresses in the ceremony. Chargé d’affaires, Sun Yinglai congratulated on the inauguration, highlighted the importance of the theme “Far and Close” of Exhibition to the communication between Latvia and Chinese, meanwhile, introduced the unique feature of freehand brushwork in Traditional Chinese Paintings, highly affirmed the contribution of the two artists to the cultural communication between countries, what’s more, in the hope that Latvia celebrate independence 100th anniversary, China and Latvia will become more prosperous. Deputy Director, Anita Goldberga felt great honor as one of hosts, and showed her determination to host more similar activities to enrich people’s spiritual life. Prof. Peteris Pildgovics and Prof. Shang Quanyu pointed out that the exhibition was the third cooperation between LUCI,  “Flying Brush” Studio and National Library, thanked the guests for their support. The theme “Far and Close” of exhibition not only expressed the hope of artists, but also the hope of everyone — Long distance separates no bosom friends. Ms. Yulia Naumova who is Russian is the master of Ms. Jekaterina Belyaeva, Ms. Jekaterina Belyaeva who is Latvian is an apprentice of Ms Yulia Naumova, they said that Chinese art are charming, through painting, different cultures and arts can be fused together, in the hope that more people who have the same ambition will join the rank of learning Chinese painting and communicating different cultures.

The exhibition shows almost 30 works from the Ms. Yulia Naumova and Ms. Jekaterina Belyaeva. The works which were painted by Ms. Yulia Naumova pay attention to describe Chinese landscape and characters. The works which were painted by Ms. Jekaterina Belyaeva show the beauty of landscape and flowers and birds of Latvia.
