The Chinese Cultural Experience at Transport and Telecommunication Institute -Chinese calligraphy

当地时间10月19日，在拉脱维亚交通与电信大学零基础汉语班开课一个月之际，学生们在老师的带领下体验了中国的书法。

为了让同学们感受灿烂的书法文化，老师以播放视频的方式向学生们展示了书法的历史，并结合实物向学生们介绍了书法中的“文房四宝”。

正式开始写字前，老师一一纠正了学生们的握笔姿势和坐姿，如果姿势不对，不仅会影响书法的艺术效果，还对身体不利。之后，学生们便迫不及待地开始书写老师教过的笔画和汉字。

在学生们书写过程中，老师也在不断演示汉字中五个基本笔画“横、竖、撇、点、捺”的写法，并教学生们学写楷体汉字“你好”。

最后，大家对自己的作品都颇感自豪。本次文化活动不仅让学生们在文化体验的过程中轻松掌握了汉字的基本笔画，更使大家感受到历史长河中积淀千年的中国文化精神。

On October 19, local time, one month after the level 0 Chinese course at Transport and Telecommunication Institute started, the Chinese learners took a preliminary experience of the traditional Chinese calligraphy under the leadership of the Chinese teacher.

In order to let the students feel the splendid culture of calligraphy, teacher showed the history of calligraphy to the students by playing video, and then introduced the “four treasures of Chinese calligraphy” with the real thing to the students.

Before the official start of writing, teacher corrected students’ posture of holding pen and posture of sitting. If the posture is wrong, it will not only affect the artistic effect of calligraphy, but also be detrimental to the body. After that, the students couldn’t wait to write the strokes and Chinese characters what the teacher had taught.

During the writing process of the students, the teacher also constantly demonstrated the five basic strokes of Chinese characters: “horizontal, vertical, left-falling, dot, and right-falling”, and taught students to write the Chinese character “Hello”.

Finally, everyone is very proud of their writing work. This cultural experience not only makes students to easily remember the basic strokes of Chinese characters, but also makes everyone feel the Chinese cultural spirit accumulated thousands of years in the history.
