The Chinese Cultural Experience at Transport and Telecommunication Institute:Chinese Paper-cutting

当地时间2018年11月29日、12月3日，交通与电信大学的汉语志愿者教师王昕分别和两个汉语班级的学生们一起体验了中国传统文化——剪纸。

教师首先通过一个记录短片带领大家认识剪纸，后又通过图片、实物展示等方式让大家进一步了解剪纸的来源、意义及种类，在此期间，教师还给学生们拓展了一些中国节日、婚礼等的习俗，学生们都听得津津有味。

待大家对剪纸有了全面的认识后，教师便开始教大家如何剪纸，从简单的囍字到团花剪纸四折再到团花剪纸六折，学生们学得非常认真，最后都小心翼翼地把自己剪好的作品贴到了白纸上。

本次文化体验课不仅让学生们了解了更多中国的传统民俗，更让学生们亲身体会到中华传统文化的魅力。

On November 29th and December 3rd, 2018, Chinese volunteer teacher Wang Xin at Transport and Telecommunication Institute experienced Chinese traditional culture together with her students.

The teacher first introduced the paper-cutting through a short documentary, and then let students know more about the source, meaning and type of paper-cutting through pictures and physical display. Besides that, the teachers also extended some customs of Chinese festivals, weddings, etc. to the students. The students listened with interest.

After everyone has a comprehensive understanding of paper-cutting, the teachers began to teach them how to cut paper, from simple slogans, four-fold paper-cutting to six-fold paper-cutting. The students learned very carefully.

This cultural experience not only allows students to understand more traditional Chinese customs, but also allows students to experience the charm of Chinese traditional culture.
