The Ventspils University of Applied Sciences successfully hosted the Chinese New Year Food Party

当地时间2019年2月6号晚7点，文茨皮尔斯应用科技大学举办了中国新年的美食文化体验晚会，翻译学院院长Guntars Dreijers,和语言文化中心主任Vita Balama出席了此次活动，另外，参加活动的人不仅有本校的学生，还有许多高中生以及社会各界人士。并且文茨皮尔斯市电视台记者对此次活动进行了专门地采访和报道。

本次中国新年美食活动分为这几部分：

一、介绍中国农历新年及其传统习俗。

二、介绍今晚展示的食物：饺子，包子，火锅，宫保鸡丁，水煮牛肉，木须肉等等。

三、品尝美食，观看中国新年的相应视频。

四、表演中华茶艺，请来宾品茶，并教他们动手泡茶。

五、互相交流，合影留念。

当晚活动中有很多人报名咨询参加汉语课程，足见大家对汉语，对中国文化萌生了浓厚的兴趣，这次活动不仅让大家品尝到了一些地道的中国食物，还让大家对中国的农历新年、对中国文化有了一个深刻的认识，激发了他们对中国的探索欲望。

At 7:00 pm local time on February 6, 2019, the Ventspils University of Applied Sciences held a Chinese New Year food culture experience event. Guntars Dreijers, the Dean of the Translation Institute and Vita Balama, the Director of the Language and Culture Center attended the event. In addition, the participants are not only students from this University, but also some high school students and members of the community. Also, the Ventspils TV station reporter conducted a special interview and report on this event.

This Chinese New Year food event is divided into these parts:

First, introduce the Chinese Lunar New Year and its traditional customs.

Second, introduce the food displayed tonight: dumplings, buns, hot pot, Kung Pao chicken, boiled beef, wood whiskers and so on.

Third, taste the food, watch the corresponding video of the Chinese New Year.

Fourth, perform Chinese tea art, invite guests to drink tea, and teach them to make tea.

Finally, Communicate with guests and take group photos.

In this event, many people asked about the Chinese language course, which showed that everyone is interested in Chinese and had a strong interest in Chinese culture. This event not only let the guests taste some authentic Chinese food, but also let them have a deep understanding about Chinese Lunar New Year and and inspired their desire to explore China and Chinese culture.
