The theme of Spring Festival online class in Kraslava Gymnasium Stadium
11:00 p.m., Feb 11st, Beijing time, while there was still one hour left for the Chinese New Year in the Year of Ox,Wu Zhixin, the Chinese teacher from Kraslava Gymnasium Stadium, had prepared an online cultural lecture based on the theme of the Chinese New Year for the students who joined the class tonight. Unlike the previous cultural lectures, the lecture this time consisted of 3 parts in total.
First, teacher Wu explained the general concepts about the Chinese New Year, such as the date of the Chinese New Year, the origin of the Chinese New Year and some customs in Chinese New Year, like Writing Spring Festival couplets, hanging the Chinese New Year painting,making Chinese New Year paper-cutting work as well as enjoy the meal in the Chinese New Year’s Eve with family to the students. Beside,in this part, teacher Wu also showed the students how the Chinese New Year look like now in China in the present time with videos as well as motivating the students to join in the discussion and the comparison about Chinese New Year. In this way, not only did the students can manage the knowledge about Chinese language and Chinese culture, but also deepening the students’ understanding about the Chinese New Year.
In the second part, considering China is a vast country with different kinds of culture and customs, therefore, teacher Wu as a volunteer teacher from Guangzhou, decided to bring students to know more about the features of Chinese New Year in Guangzhou, for example: touring the Spring Festival fairs in Guangzhou, decorating homes with all kinds of New Year Plants as well as the small lucky windmills and so on. Arthur, one of the students who joined the lecture, saying that the special features of Chinese New Year in Guangzhou shown by teacher Wu, reminded him of his memory when he attended the Chinese Summer Camp held by the South China Normal University. He added that once the Covid-19 pandemic is over, he would definitely come back to China, come back to Guangzhou, to have a good time during the Chinese New Year period.
In the last part, because it was the night before the Chinese New Year. With several time left before the class ended, teacher Wu played a video made by Confucius Institute at University of Latvia, which is the first video of the online Spring Festival Gala from the history of Confucius Institute at University of Latvia to entertain the students. Laura and Iluta, the other two students from the class, also showed their interests to the Chinese New Year Festival and considered the online Spring Festival Gala from CIUL was very interesting! They also hoped that when the pandemic ended, they could have the opportunity to experience the Chinese New Year in China!
北京时间2月11日23时,在距离牛年农历新年的开启还剩下一小时的时间,担任克拉斯拉瓦中学汉语教师的志愿者吴致昕,为前来上课的学生,准备了一次以春节为主题的文化课网课。
本次的春节主题文化课与以往的文化课稍有不同:一共分为三个环节。首先,汉教志愿者吴致昕,先是给学生讲解了农历新年的总体情况,诸如春节的日期、来历起源以及如贴春联、挂年画,做剪纸和年夜饭等的民间习俗。同时,在这一环节中,吴老师也以多媒体视频的方式,为学生展现了春节在现当代中国的情况,让学生参与关于春节的文化讨论以及文化对比。通过这样的形式,一方面既帮助学生学习掌握汉语以及汉语文化知识,另一方面也让学生加深了学生对于春节的理解。
其次,考虑到中国疆域广阔,民俗多样,文化多彩的特点,汉教志愿者吴致昕为学生展现了其家乡——广州的春节特色:诸如“行花街”“买年桔年花”“买转运风车”等广州特有的过年风俗。学生Arthur表示,吴老师展现的广州过年风情,让他回想起在参加华南师范大学汉语夏令营时的美好回忆。他表示,在新冠疫情过去后,自己一定要再来中国,重回广州,好好过一个中国年。
最后,因为当晚是除夕夜,趁着离下课还有一点时间,吴老师为前来上课的学生,播放了拉大孔院今年特意制作的,也是拉大孔院历史上的首部网络春晚。学生Laura和学生Iluta表示,都对中国的过年很感兴趣,同时也觉得拉大孔院的春晚很有趣,很有意思,亦十分希望能够在疫情结束之后,有机会来中国体验中国新年!
