The offline Chinese class at Jekabpils Valsts Gimnazjai started successfully

On November 7 and November 14, Jekabpils Valsts Gimnazjai had its first offline Chinese class of this semester, which was also the first offline Chinese class in this area after more than two years. Yang Caiyun, a volunteer Chinese teacher from China, was responsible for the teaching.

Thers are two kinds of Chinese class in Jekabpils Valsts Gimnazjai, Chinese as a subject and interest group. There are five students in the class of Chinese as a subject, all from grade 10. They have been on online class from September 5th. Teacher and students are already familiar with each other. But the students are still very happy to transfer from online to offline, and they are looking forward to face-to-face communication. In the first offline class, Ms. Yang gave them an unique Chinese name. The students were very happy to get them, and wrote their names in Chinese characters. Then Ms. Yang introduced the capital of China and the differences between North and south China. The students were very interested and said they would go to China if they had the chance.

On November 14, the Chinese interest class started. School secretary Laima said some students had signed up early and were expecting the Chinese teacher to come soon. There were 18 students in the first class. Two of them had learned Chinese two years ago. They introduced themselves in Chinese briefly, Ms Yang felt very happy. Then, Ms Yang introduced herself with a video, and talked about her feelings of come here and differences between the China and Latvia. She said she was very happy to come to Jekabpils to meet with students. Then, Ms Yang use a video to introduce China. When asking the impression of China, the students spoke enthusiastically, “beautiful”, “distant”, “a lot of culture”, “like another universe” …… When asked what do you want to learn in the Chinese class, the students responded enthusiastically too, “ Chinese calligraphy”, “popular words”, “art”, “self -introduction in Chinese”, “food”, “interesting facts”, “cultural differences between the China and Latvia”……  Mr. Yang wrote all of them and said that she would taught those things in the future. Then, Ms Yang started from “你好Hello”, taught students some common greetings in Chinese, and taught six single vowels and four tones. The students were very interested in this new language,the class atmosphere was very happy.

The offline Chinese class was successfully carried out in Jekabpils Valsts Gimnazjai, which opening a window for many students to know China. Let us looking forward to see the Chinese flower blooming in Jekabpils.

拉脱维亚时间11月7日和11月14日,叶卡布皮尔斯中学迎来了本学期首次线下汉语课,这也是该地时隔两年多的首次线下汉语课,由汉语志愿者教师杨彩云负责讲授。

叶卡布皮尔斯中学的汉语课程分为学分班和兴趣班。学分班有五名学生,都来自十年级,他们从9月5号开始线上上课,师生之间已经彼此熟悉,对于从线上转到线下,学生们还是感到非常开心,表示很期待能够面对面交流。第一节线下课上,杨老师根据自己对学生的了解,给他们取了专属的中文名字,学生拿到非常高兴,并用汉字写下他们的名字,接着顺着课本内容讲到北京,杨老师给学生介绍了北京以及中国的南北差异,学生们很感兴趣,表示有机会会去中国看看。

11月14日,汉语兴趣班开课,学校秘书Laima说有的学生已早早报了名并期待汉语老师快点到来。第一次兴趣课共18名学生,其中两名学生在两年前学过汉语,他们用中文进行了简单的自我介绍,杨老师感到非常开心,其他学生也投来赞叹的目光。杨老师用一段视频介绍了自己,讲了自己来到叶卡布皮尔斯的感受和中拉文化差异,并表示很开心能来到叶卡布皮尔斯与学生见面,也很开心学生选择学习汉语。接着杨老师播放了介绍中国的视频,在问到对中国有什么印象时,学生们踊跃发言,“漂亮”“遥远”“文化很多样”“像是另一个宇宙”……,在问到想在汉语课学到什么的时候,学生们更是热情回应,想学中国书法、流行词、艺术、汉语自我介绍、美食、有趣的事实、中拉文化差异……,学生们讨论的不亦乐乎,表示了对中国极大的兴趣,杨老师一一记下,并表示有机会一定会给他们讲。接着杨老师从“你好”开始,教了学生汉语常用问候语,讲授了六个单韵母和四个声调,学生们对这门新的语言十分感兴趣,课堂氛围非常欢乐。

线下汉语课在叶卡布皮尔斯顺利进行着,给很多学生打开了一扇认识中国的窗户,让我们期待汉语之花在叶卡布皮尔斯绽放。
