On-the-job training for volunteers of the Confucius Institute Cooperative University Alliance in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was successfully carried out

On March 23, 2023, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Confucius Institute Cooperative University Alliance conducted intensive on-the-job training for volunteers. The meeting place was an online Tencent meeting. There were 25 participants. The deputy director of the Office of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies Xu Yiqing presided over the meeting, and the meeting invited excellent guest speakers Tang Jinyue (Volunteer Office of the Chinese and Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Education), Li Tao (President’s Office of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies), Li Ding (The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine), Zheng Zhuanfang (The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine), Bao Liang (Zhejiang Normal University), Yang Xingxing (Law School of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies). Teacher Ye Xiaoni from the International Office of South China Normal University, volunteers from the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia and other Confucius Institute volunteers participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, Li Tao mentioned that overseas volunteers especially need to be vigilant against the peaceful evolution of foreign forces, analyzed the ways of cultural corruption by foreign forces, introduced the types of cultural aggression and put forward preventive measures, and called on volunteers to improve their ability to prevent risks. Awareness and capabilities, and strengthen national security awareness. Subsequently, Tang Jinyue, a teacher from the Yuhe Center, introduced overseas risks and situations that need to be avoided from various actual cases.

Bao Liang from Zhejiang Normal University started from the analysis of the characteristics of international Chinese language education volunteer groups, mentioned that volunteers are at the beginning stage of their careers, and affirmed that volunteers have the characteristics of activism. Talking about the overall development direction of international Chinese education, he emphasized that we must jointly promote a new pattern of high-quality development of international Chinese education, and volunteers should integrate teachers, researchers, and managers.

Zheng Zhuanfang started from examples and explained to the volunteers the content related to cross-border adaptation and emotional management. Volunteers may face fear, frustration and loneliness, so they need to gradually overcome by taking care of the body, taking care of emotions and eating a reasonable diet .

In addition, Yang Xingxing explained the relevant knowledge of foreign-related laws to volunteers from a professional perspective, including entry-exit compliance guidelines and common inquiry channels for foreign-related laws, helping volunteers to handle affairs overseas legally and compliantly. Finally, Li Ding explained the health issues that need to be paid attention to overseas for volunteer teachers to ensure health and safety.

The on-the-job training for volunteers of the Confucius Institute Cooperative University Alliance in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has been successfully completed. The experience and cases in it will also greatly help the volunteers of the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia in their actual teaching and overseas life, and promote Chinese language education in the Confucius Institute in Latvia. further development of the academy.

2023年3月23日，粤港澳大湾区孔子学院合作大学联盟对志愿者进行了集中的岗中培训，会议地点为线上腾讯会议，参会人员25人，由广东外语外贸大学办公室副主任徐艺青主持会议，会议邀请主讲嘉宾唐金月（教育部中外语言交流合作中心志愿者工作处）、李韬（广东外语外贸大学校长办公室）、李定（广州中医药大学第一附属医院）、郑转芳（广州中医药大学第一附属医院）、包亮（浙江师范大学）、杨幸幸（广东外语外贸大学法学院）。华南师范大学国际处叶晓霓老师、拉脱维亚大学孔子学院志愿者及其他孔子学院志愿者参与了会议。

会议中，李韬老师提到境外志愿者尤其需要警惕境外势力的和平演变，分析了境外势力的文化腐蚀途径，介绍了文化侵略的类型以及提出了防范的措施，号召志愿者需要提高防范风险的意识和能力，强化国家安全意识。随后，语合中心唐金月老师从各个实际案例介绍了境外风险及需要规避的情形。

浙江师范大学包亮老师从分析国际中文教育志愿者群体特征出发，提到志愿者处于职业生涯开始阶段，肯定了志愿者具有行动主义特征。谈及国际中文教育总体发展方向，强调我们要共同推动国际中文教育高质量发展的新格局，志愿者要集教学者、研究者、管理者为一体。

郑转芳老师从例子出发，为志愿者讲解了跨境适应与情绪管理相关的内容，志愿者可能会面临恐惧感、挫折感和孤独感，因此需要通过照顾躯体、照顾情绪以及合理饮食逐渐克服。

此外，杨幸幸老师从专业角度，为志愿者讲解了涉外法律的相关知识，包括出入境合规指引以及涉外法律常用查询渠道，帮助志愿者在海外合法合规办事。最后，李定老师为志愿者教师讲解了在海外需要注意的卫生健康问题，保证健康安全。

此次粤港澳大湾区孔子学院合作大学联盟志愿者岗中培训顺利完成，其中的经验与案例也将极大帮助拉脱维亚大学孔子学院志愿者的实际教学与海外生活，推动汉语教育事业在拉脱维亚孔子学院的进一步发展。
