Chen Style Boxing Cultural Activity were Successfully held by Confucius Institute at Latvia University Riga 34 Middle School Confucius Classroom / 拉脱维亚大学孔子学院里加34中孔子课堂成功举办陈氏太极拳文化活动

【拉大孔院讯 通讯何东 宋苗苗 摄影张红戈】2024年12月17日，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院里加34中孔子课堂举办了一场生动活泼的陈氏太极拳文化讲座和体验活动。孔院院长贝德高、何东及34中玛丽娜副校长出席活动，除此之外，还有新闻记者、艺术家代表以及200多名师生参加活动。

活动伊始，来自中国的陈氏太极拳第十二代传人陈二军教练，简要介绍了陈氏太极拳的历史渊源、文化内涵和拳术思想。接下来，陈教练示范了一段拳路。在体验环节，40多名学生踊跃登台，学习太极拳的几个招式，感受太极拳刚柔相济之美。此次活动激发了学生们对中国文化的浓厚兴趣。

未来，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院将举办更多精彩的文化活动，为推动中拉文化交流做出更大的贡献。

On December 17, 2024, Confucius Institute at Latvia University Riga 34 Middle School Confucius Classroom held a lively Chen Style Boxing cultural lecture and experience activity. Pēteris Pildegovičs, He Dong, Confucius Institute directors, and Marina Grečaņina, Deputy Head of Riga secondary School 34, attended the event. In addition to this, there were journalists, artist representatives and more than 200 students and teachers attending the event.

At the beginning of the event, Mr. Chen Erjun, the 12th generation successor of Chen Style Boxing from China, briefly introduced the historical origin, cultural connotation and boxing ideology of Chen Style Boxing. Next, Mr. Chen demonstrated a section of boxing. In the experience session, more than 40 students enthusiastically took the stage to learn several moves of boxing and feel the beauty of boxing’s rigidity and flexibility. This activity stimulated the students’ strong interest in Chinese culture.

In the future, Confucius Institute at Latvia University will organize more exciting cultural activities to make greater contributions to promoting cultural exchanges between China and Latvia.
