Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia Attends the 2025 Spring Festival Gala for Chinese Compatriots in Latvia / 拉脱维亚大学孔子学院一行出席旅居拉脱维亚中国同胞 2025新春联欢会
【拉大孔院讯 通讯员郭一兰】当地时间2025年1月26日，由中国驻拉脱维亚大使馆与拉脱维亚华侨会联合主办的“温暖迎春·共庆中国年”旅居拉脱维亚中国同胞2025新春联欢会成功举办。拉脱维亚大学孔子学院外方院长贝德高教授、中方院长何东教授及孔院中文教师等一行十人受邀参加本次活动。
中国驻拉脱维亚大使馆唐松根大使首先发表致辞，向全体旅居拉脱维亚的同胞、华人华侨、中资企业、教师和留学生代表以及拉脱维亚朋友致以新年的祝福，并对贝德高教授以及在场的拉脱维亚朋友出席活动表示感谢。随后，拉大孔院外方院长贝德高教授受邀致辞，对亲临现场的中拉友人送上了温暖的新春祝福。
活动现场不仅有丰盛的传统中餐，还穿插了精彩纷呈的文艺表演，展现了中国传统文化的独特魅力的同时，也向身处异乡的华人同胞传递祖国的温暖与关怀、为中拉两国人民的友谊增添新的色彩。
On January 26, 2025, local time, the “Warmly Welcoming Spring: Celebrating the Chinese New Year Together” 2025 Spring Festival Gala for Chinese Compatriots in Latvia, co-hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Latvia and the Latvian Chinese Association, was successfully held. A delegation of ten from the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia, including Prof. Pēteris Pildegovičs, the director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia from Latvian side, Prof. He Dong, the director of Confucius Institute at University of Latvia from Chinese side, and Chinese language teachers, was invited to attend the event.
Mr. Tang Songgen, ambassador of the Chinese Embassy in Latvia delivered a speech, extending heartfelt New Year greetings to all Chinese compatriots in Latvia, including overseas Chinese, representatives of Chinese enterprises, teachers, and students, as well as Latvian friends. He expressed gratitude to Prof. Pēteris Pildegovičs and the Latvian guests for their presence. Following this, Prof. Pēteris Pildegovičs, the director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia from Latvian side, also expressed warm New Year wishes to all the Chinese and Latvian friends in attendance.
The event featured a lavish spread of traditional Chinese cuisine and vibrant cultural performances, showcasing the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture. At the same time, it conveyed the warmth and care of the motherland to Chinese compatriots living abroad and added new vibrancy to the friendship between the peoples of China and Latvia.
