3rd HSK of 2014 was held successfully in the Confucius Institute at University of Latvia

On 6th December, the Confucius Institute at Latvia University hosted successfully the 3rd HSK and HSKK exam of 2014. All of the examinations were held in the classrooms of the Academic Library of University of Latvia, and 18 students took participate in the exam, 5 of whom took the HSK and HSKK exam at the same time. There are 4 levels which from Level 1 to Level 4 of HSK and 2 levels which included Elementary Level and Medium Level of HSKK this time.

Even though the final examination of University is near at hand, and the weather early in the morning was quite severe, still the students arrived the test center very early. The candidates who took the exam are from more than one place, some of whom are students from different majors at University of Latvia, some from the Chinese Program of Daugavphils University and Rezekne University, and some are social people. Among these candidates, some students want to estimate their Chinese level through the exam; more students desire to get the HSK certificate which will help them to visit China to continue their Chinese learning. A series of preferential policies and scholarship programs encourage more students to learn Chinese, to take HSK, and to visit China at last to experience the Chinese cultures.

During the examination, all of the students concentrated on the test, which is the best opportunity to examine their results of Chinese learning. The entire atmosphere was orderly.

In order to make sure the success of exams, the Confucius Institute prepared various matters about facilities and management of examination in advance. A few weeks before the exam, teachers of Confucius Institute tutored students for examination; the day before the exam, teachers tested all of the equipment and arranged the rooms to ensure no risk at all.

With the developments of the modern times, the test center of Confucius Institute at University of Latvia was equipped with enough computers and other electronic equipments, and will gradually promote the process of HSK by Internet in the future.
