Confucius Institute at Latvia University has successfully held Sound of the Soul Concert
An excellent Sound of the Soul Concert was successfully held on May 13th 2015 at 6:00 pm in the hall of main building of University of Latvia. Two musicians Deng Hong and Chen Shasha from China and Lin Xili from Sweden have demonstrated and played Chinese traditional instruments. More than 100 guests have attended this concert, including Chinese Embassy in Latvia, Chinese Association in Latvia, Faculties of Humanities at University of Latvia, Confucius Institute at University of Latvia, Riga Cultural Secondary School and Riga 68 Secondary School.
This concert was divided into 2 parts. Three artists performed Qin, Xun, Xiao, Muyu and some other Chinese national instruments with their proficiency and emotions. The audiences enjoyed the music Flowing Waters, Three variations on paring for Yangguan, Wild geese descending on the sandbank, Three variations on the melody Plum Blossoms and some other classical. All the audiences were deeply drunk in the splendid melodies and gave enthusiastic applause.
The concert was held by Confucius Institute at Latvia University. It not only enables the fans of Chinese culture in Latvia to appreciate the charm of Chinese national music, but also helps to spread Chinese culture and promote Chinese teaching and studying.
