Confucius Institute Summer Camp was successfully closed in China

Sixteen students and teacher of Confucius Institute Summer Camp from Latvia arrived China on 15th August, 2015, they would have two-week Summer Camp Activity in China.

The first city students visited is Beijing, they visited Confucius Institute Headquarters and many historic sites such as the Forbidden Palace Museum, the Great Wall and the Summer Palace; and they also felt the “Beijing style” in Hutong and Courtyard; in 798 Art District and South Luogu Lane, they tasted the art flavor of New Beijing.

On 20th August, students came to Guangzhou, started to take various Chinese language and cultural courses in SouthChinaNormalUniversity. Among all the courses, students’ favorite part is experience activity of Chinese Culture such as experience of Chinese pottery art, painting on fans, and painting on Beijing opera masks. During this process full of cultural ambience and individual creation, students were access to interesting Chinese culture. During the spare time, students were arranged to visit some famous tourist spots such as ChenClanAcademy, Beijing Street and Huacheng Square.

Except for various courses and sightseeing, students deeply experienced daily life of Chinese people by taking bus, metro to market, and they tasted various Chinese food.

On 28th August, two-week Summer Camp closed successfully, all students returned to Latvia from China. They expressed, this Summer Camp was an unforgettable and precious experience which improved their Chinese level and opened their mind, and they would feel more interested to Chinese language and culture.
