China Writers Association Signed Cooperation Memorandum with LUCI
当地时间9月1日18时，由中国作家协会、拉脱维亚中国文化中心、拉脱维亚大学孔子学院、拉脱维亚留华同学会联合举办的“中拉文学之夜”在拉脱维亚中国文化中心拉开序幕。中国驻拉脱维亚大使馆沈小楷参赞，中国作家协会书记、副主席钱小芊，厦门市作家协会主席龚舒婷，贵州作家协会主席欧阳黔森，《人民文学》主编施战军，中国作家协会外联处主任张涛，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院拉方院长贝德高教授、中方院长尚劝余教授，拉脱维亚大学亚洲文化中心研究主任鲍葛薇教授，中国文化中心主任张丽丽、顾问杨松、杨森女士，拉脱维亚留华同学会会长卡琳娜、副会长爱柳、秘书长叶春萌，拉脱维亚著名诗人Mara Zalite，新华社记者郭群先生、李徳萍女士，拉脱维亚华侨华人联合会副会长王丹、秘书长陆岩，孔院师生、华人等近百人参加了此次活动。
本次活动在中国文化中心张丽丽主任的欢迎词中揭开帷幕。首先，中国作家协会钱小芊主席介绍了作协的基本情况和本次参会代表团成员。接着，拉脱维亚留华同学会爱柳副会长和叶春萌秘书长介绍了同学会的情况。其次，拉脱维亚大学鲍葛薇教授从四个时期、四代人的努力着眼介绍了拉脱维亚中国文学的翻译情况。拉脱维亚大学孔子学院中方院长尚劝余教授讲述了贝德高教授与汉语的不解之缘和为拉脱维亚汉语教学事业作出的卓越贡献。拉方院长贝德高教授对中国作家协会代表团的访问表示了诚挚的欢迎和衷心的感谢，就拉脱维亚大学孔院的发展、职责、成就进行了简单的梳理，希望两方通过合作意向书的签署，进一步推动中拉文化交流蓬勃发展。最后，在在场嘉宾的共同见证下，作协主席钱小芊与拉脱维亚大学孔子学院院长贝德高教授共同签署了合作意向书。贝德高教授给钱小芊主席赠送了精心编撰的中拉词典。
签署仪式后，中拉师生合作表演的节目将活动推向了另一个高潮。其中，汉语学习者高碧娜女士以一首诗朗诵《致橡树》来表达自己对中国文学的热爱；汉语教师马笑笑则朗诵了拉脱维亚著名诗句《无题》以欢迎中国作协的到来。
至此，“中拉文学之夜”在欢声笑语和美味佳肴中完美落幕。
Local time on 1st of September,2018, the “Chinese and Latvian Literature Night” jointly organized by China Writers Association, China Cultural Center of Latvia, Confucius Institute at University of Latvia and the Latvian Chinese Students Association was held at China Cultural Center of Latvia. Mr.Shen Xiaokai, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Latvia, Qian Xiaoqian, Secretary and Vice Chairman of China Writers Association, Gong Shuting, Chairman of Xiamen Writers Association, Ouyang Qiansen, Chairman of Guizhou Writers Association, Shi Zhanjun, editor-in-chief of People’s Literature, Zhang Tao, Director of the Exterior Communication Department of the China Writers Association, Prof.Pēteris Pildegovičs and Prof.Shang Quanyu, Directors of LUCI, Prof. Bao Gewei, Research Director of Asian Cultural Center at University of Latvia, Director Zhang Lili, Consultant Yang Song and Ms. Yang Sen from China Cultural Center, President Kalina, Vice President Ai Liu, Secretary-General Ye Chunmeng from Latvian Chinese Students Association, famous Latvian poet Mara Zalite, reporter Mr. Guo Qun and Ms. Li Deping from Xinhua News Agency, Vice President Wang Dan, Secretary General Lu Yan of Overseas Chinese Association of Latvia, teachers and students from Confucius Institute and local Chinese citizen attended the event.
The event kicked off in the welcome speech of Director Zhang Lili from China Cultural Center. First, Chairman Qian Xiaoqian introduced the basic situation of the Writers Association and members presented. Second, President Ai Liu and Secretary Ye Chunmeng introduced Latvian Chinese Students Association to the delegation. Third, Professor Bao Gewei introduced the translation development of Latvian Chinese literature by the story about efforts through four stages and four generations. Then,Mr. Shang Quanyu told a story about how Prof.Pēteris Pildegovičs irrevocably committed to Chinese language in his early life and his outstanding contribution to Chinese teaching in Latvia.Mr.Pēteris Pildegovičs expressed sincere welcome and heartfelt thanks to the delegation of China Writers Association. He made a simple review of the development, responsibilities and achievement of the Confucius Institute at University of Latvia. He hoped that through the signing of the cooperation memorandum, the both sides could further promote the vigorous development of Chinese Latvian cultural exchanges. Finally, Chairman Qian and Prof.Pēteris Pildegovičs signed a memorandum of cooperation. Prof.Pēteris Pildegovičs presented his Chinese-Latvian dictionary as a gift to Chairman Qian.
After the ceremony, performance of the Chinese and Latvia teachers and students pushed the event to another climax. Chinese learner Ms. Gao Bina expresses her love for Chinese literature by reciting a famous Chinese poem “To Oak”in Chinese and Latvian. Latvian Chinese teacher Ma Xiaoxiao recited a Latvia poem “Untitled” to welcome the arrival of the China Writers Association.
