Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia Celebrated Chinese New Year’s Eve
2019年2月4日，是农历大年三十，中国人民吃团圆饭的日子。里加时间12:30,拉脱维亚大学孔子学院全体人员齐聚于长城饭店，以贺新年。拉脱维亚大学孔子学院中方院长尚劝余教授，拉方院长贝德高教授，秘书白丽娜女士，公派汉语教师王琼子老师和曾庆君老师，本土教师马笑笑老师，还有特约嘉宾安泽，以及十几位来自不同教学点的优秀汉语教师志愿者汇聚于此，在年味儿十足的中餐馆里，举杯同庆猪年新春，畅聊过去展望未来。
团圆饭开始之前，尚院长就过去活动的成功举行向老师及志愿者们表达感谢，并表示2018年已经过去，他对新一年的汉语工作充满信心。随后，贝教授表示，从最初的一个汉语老师到如今的16个教学点，汉语教学已经遍布于拉脱维亚。安泽也相继发言，并对孔子学院越来越庞大的队伍表示欣慰，希望大家能继续为拉脱维亚学生教授更多的汉语知识。在对过去的回顾和总结里，大家一起吃团圆饭，随后远程连线看直播春晚，真是其乐融融。
之后，在王琼子老师的带领及志愿者老师林洁的协助下，大家对未来工作进行展望。主题包括：汉语桥比赛，HSK考试等。大家都认真聆听，积极献策，共同助力，在对过去的总结里对未来充满信心。拉脱维亚大学孔子学院将一如既往，不断进取，猪年再创辉煌。
On February 4, 2019, it was the day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, Chinese people all would eat the reunion dinner on that day. At local time 12:30, all memebers of Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia gathered at the Great Wall Restaurant to celebrate the New Year. Chinese-side Director of the LUIC, Prof. Shang Quanyu, Latvian-side Director of LUCI, Prof. Peteris Pidegovics, special guest Anze, Secretary Ms. Bai Lina, Chinese teacher Wang Qiongzi and Zeng Qingjun, local teacher Ma Xiaoxiao, and excellent volunteer Chinese teachers from different teaching places gathered here.
Before the start of the reunion dinner, Prof. Shang expressed his gratitude to everyone for the success of the past activities. He said that 2018 has passed and he is full of confidence in the new year. Later, Prof. Peteris Pidegovics said that from the one Chinese teacher to the current 16 teaching points, Chinese teaching has spread throughout Latvia. Anze also expressed gratitude to the growing team of Confucius Institutes and hoped that everyone would continue to teach more about Chinese language to Latvian students. In the review and summary of the past, everyone had a wonderful reunion dinner, and then watched the live broadcast of the Chinese Spring Festival Gala.
After that, Mrs. Wang Qiongzi and volunteer teacher Lin Jie gave an introduction about future’s work. Discussion included: “Chinese Bridge” Competition, HSK Exam, etc. Everyone listened to carefully and actively giving the advice. The Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia will continue to make progress as always, and it will be more brilliant in the Year of the Pig .
