A delegation from the China Academy of West Region Development of Zhejiang University visited the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia
当地时间9月7日，浙江大学发展委员会副主席、区域协调发展研究中心执行主任、中国西部发展研究院院长周谷平教授，中国西部发展研究院常务副院长、区域协调发展研究中心副主任董雪兵教授,浙江大学社会科学研究院常务副院长褚超孚教授，浙江大学翻译学研究所副所长徐雪英教授，中国西部发展研究院信息中心副主任李莉等一行访问拉脱维亚大学孔子学院。围绕“一带一路”建设背景下孔子学院的发展、新时期孔子学院职能优化等研究议题进行调研。孔子学院中方院长尚劝余教授、公派教师王琼子、本土教师马笑笑、孔院秘书白丽娜等热情接待了代表团一行。
首先，代表团参观了拉脱维亚大学孔子学院办公室，双方代表在互赠礼物后，一行人来到了会议室正式开始座谈。拉脱维亚大学中方院长尚劝余教授向代表团介绍了孔子学院近年来发展与建设情况，包括孔子学院目前的师资安排、中文教学、中文人才培养、教学点设置等方面。
接下来，周谷平院长就浙江大学中国西部发展研究院的基本情况进行了介绍，浙江大学中国西部发展研究院成立于2006年，目前专注于孔子学院在新时代下的新理解，以及孔子学院在未来的可续发展等。褚超孚副院长、徐雪英副院长就此次访问的目的进行了阐述。尚院长及访问团一行就如何使孔子学院的发展更符合国家“一带一路”走出去的倡议，以及孔子学院的教学如何与当地的文化融合、走进当地的民众等问题进行了共同探讨。尚院长表示在汉语推广本土化的过程中也遇到了师资力量欠缺、教材本土化有难度等问题，但目前正在向将中文学习纳入正式的学分体系，成为正式第二语言学习等方向努力。马笑笑老师和王琼子老师也就拉脱维亚本土的汉语学习情况进行了相关的介绍。最后，周谷平教授代表中国西部发展研究院与尚劝余院长签订了学术交流合作协议。
本次访问促进了拉脱维亚大学孔子学院和浙江大学中国西部发展研究院双方的友好交流和业务往来，对“一带一路”新背景下的孔子学院的建设和发展起到了积极的推动作用。
On September 7th, local time, Vice Chairman of Zhejiang University Development Committee, Executive Director of Regional Coordinated Development Research Center, President of China Academy of West Region Development, Professor Zhou Guping,Executive Vice President of China Academy of West Region Development, Deputy Director of Regional Coordinated Development Research Cente, Professor Dong Xuebing,Executive Vice President of the Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences of Zhejiang University,Professor Chu Chaofu,Deputy Director of Institute of Translation Studies at School of International Studies of Zhejiang University, Professor Xu Xueying,and Li Li, Deputy Director Information Center of the China Academy of West Region Development, visited the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia. Research on the development of the Confucius Institute under the background of the “Belt and Road” construction and the optimization of the functions of the Confucius Institute in the new era. The Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute, Professor Shang Quanyu, Chinese teacher Wang Qiongzi, the local teacher Ma Xiaoxiao, and the Confucius Institute secretary Bai Lina warmly received the delegation.
First of all, the delegation visited the Confucius Institute Office of the University of Latvia. After the representatives of the two sides exchanged gifts, the group came to the conference room and officially started the discussion. Prof. Shang Quanyu, the Chinese Director of the University of Latvia, introduced the development and construction of the Confucius Institute in recent years, including the current faculty arrangement of the Confucius Institute, Chinese teaching, students training, and teaching point setting.
Next, Prof.Zhou Guping introduced the basic situation of the China Academy of West Region Development of Zhejiang University. The China Academy of West Region Developmen of Zhejiang University was established in 2006. Currently, she focuses on the new understanding of the Confucius Institute in the new era and the sustainable development of Confucius Institute, etc. Prof.Chu Chaofu and Prof.Xu Xueying elaborated on the purpose of the visit. Prof.Shang and the delegation discussed how to make the development of the Confucius Institute more in line with the national “One Belt, One Road”, and how the teaching of the Confucius Institute can be integrated with local culture and enter the local people. Prof.Shang said that in the process of localization of Chinese language promotion, he also encountered problems such as lack of teaching resources and difficulty in localizing teaching materials. However, he is currently working to incorporate Chinese learning into the formal credit system and become a second language learning. Teacher Ma Xiaoxiao and Teacher Wang Qiongzi also introduced the Chinese language learning situation in Latvia. Finally, Prof.Zhou Guping and Prof.Shang signed an academic exchange and cooperation agreement.
The visit promoted the friendly exchanges and business contacts between the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia and the China Academy of West Region Development of Zhejiang University, and played a positive role in promoting the construction and development of the Confucius Institute under the new background of the “Belt and Road”.
