2023 Spring Festival Gala of Confucius Institute at University of Latvia was Successfully Held

Yinhu bids farewell to the old year, Maotu heralds the coming of spring. To celebrate the arrival of the Spring Festival in 2023, at 4:00 – 7:00 pm on January 20th, Riga time, the Spring Festival Gala jointly hosted by Confucius Institute at University of Latvia, Association of China Studties Alumni of Latvia and Chinese Culture Center in Riga was successfully held at Great Hall of University of Latvia. About 700 people attended the event including Ambassador of the Chinese Embassy in Latvia Liang Jianquan, Vice Rector of University of Latvia Valdis Segliņš,, Chinese Director of Confucius Institute at University of Latvia Shang Quanyu, Director of Chinese Cultural Center at Riga Wang Nan, President of Association of China Studties Alumni of Latvia Karina Jermaka, Heads of Xinhua News Agency Guo Qun and Li Deping in Riga, teachers and students of the Confucius Institute and other quests from all walks of life, among which 108 were performers, setting a new high in the number of previous events.

At the beginning of the event, Ambassador Liang Jianquan, Vice Rector Valdis Segliņš, Director Shang Quanyu delivered speeches in turn, introducing the Chinese New Year and the image of the rabbit in Latvia, reviewing the teaching of the Confucius Institute, and looking forward to the friendship between China and Lativia in the future. The activity continued in a joyful atmosphere. The forms of the 23 programs were diverse and wonderful, and the atmosphere on the scene was high. The opening program was a traditional Chinese martial arts performance – lion dance. “Legend of the Spring Festival” unveiled the mystery of the Spring Festival, a melodious guzheng playing – “Spring Festival Overture” lingered, “Where Are My Friends” and “Friends” touched the hearts of the people of China and Latvia. In addition to the Chinese performance, there was also a Latvian song “Kūko, Kūko Dzeguzīte”. With the grateful music, a girl began to dance, a ballet incorporating Chinese elements – “Chinese Doll”. The video “Liang Liang” started from China’s natural environment, and interpreted the beauty of nature through the video, which is amazing. In addition, the Chinese volunteer teachers sung “Song of the Teachers of the Confucius Institute”, demonstrating their aspiration to make the flower of Chinese language flourish on the shore of Baltic Sea and the bank of Daugav River. As the program drew to a close, a song “Happy New Year” sung by the Xin Yue Choir sent the most sincere New Year blessings.

This event not only made the locals feel the warmth and joy of the Spring Festival, but also allowed them to learn more about the customs of traditional Chinese festivals, and also promoted the development of Chinese language education. Saying goodbye to the old year and welcoming the new year, the auspicious rabbit welcomes the spring, Confucius Institute at University of Latvia wished everyone a happy new year and all the best.

Iņhu atvadās no vecā gada, Maotu vēsta par pavasara atnākšanu. Lai atzīmētu Pavasara festivāla iestāšanos 2023. gadā, 20. janvārī plkst. 16.00 pēc Rīgas laika, Latvijas Universitātes Konfūcija institūta, Latvijas Ķīniešu studentu asociācijas un Ķīnas kultūras centra kopīgi rīkotā Pavasara svētku Galā. Rīga tika veiksmīgi aizvadīta. Pasākumā piedalījās Ķīnas vēstniecības Latvijā vēstnieks Liangs Dzjankuans, Rīgas Ķīnas kultūras centra direktors Vans Nans, Latvijas Universitātes viceprezidents Valdis Segliņš, Universitātes Konfūcija institūta ķīniešu direktors Šans Kvanju. Latvijas, Ķīnas studentu asociācijas prezidente Karīna un Siņhua biedrības pārstāvji, Konfūcija institūta skolotāji un studenti, kā arī citi cilvēki no dažādām dzīves jomām, lieliski pavadīja laiku. Šoreiz priekšnesuma vērošanai pieteicās gandrīz 700 cilvēku, bet 108 izpildītāji, uzstādot jaunu augstāko punktu iepriekšējo pasākumu skaitā.

Pasākuma ievadā uzrunas pēc kārtas teica Ķīnas vēstnieks Latvijā Liangs Dzjankuans, Latvijas Universitātes viceprezidents Valdis Segliņš un Latvijas Universitātes Konfūcija institūta ķīniešu direktors Šans Kvanju, iepazīstinot ar ķīniešiem. Jaunais gads un truša tēls Latvijā, pārskatot Konfūcija institūta mācības un cerot uz Ķīnas un Latīņamerikas draudzību nākotnē. Darbība turpinājās priecīgā gaisotnē. Cīņa pret visa veida zvēriem, kuru vada lauvas stumšana. Atklāšanas ceremonija bija tradicionālais ķīniešu cīņas mākslas priekšnesums – lauvu deja. “Pavasara festivāla leģenda” atklāja pavasara festivāla noslēpumu, melodisku guženspēli – “Pavasara svētku uvertīra” aizkavējās, “Kur ir mani draugi” un “Draugi” aizkustināja Ķīnas un Latīņamerikas iedzīvotāju sirdis. Papildus ķīniešu priekšnesumam ir arī latīņu dziesma “Kūko, Kūko Dzeguzīte”. Dejo starp kājām, balets ar ķīniešu elementiem – “Ķīniešu lelle”. Videoklips “Cool” sākas ar Ķīnas dabisko vidi un caur video interpretē dabas skaistumu, kas ir pārsteidzošs. Programmas formāts bija krāsains un brīnišķīgs, un atmosfēra uz skatuves bija augsta. Turklāt brīvprātīgie skolotāji uzrakstīja jaunu Ķīnas un Latīņamerikas draudzības nodaļu caur dziesmu “Song of the Teachers of the Confucius Institute”, liekot uzplaukt ķīniešu valodas ziedam. Programmai tuvojoties noslēgumam, sirsnīgākās Jaunā gada svētības sūtīja Sirds mūzikas kora dziedātā dziesma “Laimīgu Jauno gadu”.

Šis pasākums ne tikai lika vietējiem sajust Pavasara svētku siltumu un prieku, bet arī ļāva uzzināt vairāk par tradicionālo ķīniešu svētku paražām, kā arī veicināja ķīniešu valodas izglītības attīstību. Atvadoties no vecā gada un sagaidot jauno gadu, labvēlīgais trusis sagaida pavasari, Latvijas Universitātes Konfūcija institūts novēl visiem laimīgu jauno gadu un visu to labāko.

寅虎辞旧岁，卯兔报春来。为庆祝2023年春节的到来，里加时间1月20日下午4-7点，由拉脱维亚大学孔子学院、拉脱维亚留华同学会和里加中国文化中心联合主办的春节联欢活动在拉脱维亚大学主楼大礼堂成功举办。出席本次活动的有中国驻拉脱维亚大使馆梁建全大使和戴蓝参赞、拉脱维亚大学副校长Valdis Segliņš、拉脱维亚大学孔子学院中方院长尚劝余、里加中国文化中心主任王楠、拉脱维亚留华同学会会长卡琳娜、新华社里加分社负责人郭群和李德萍、孔子学院师生等拉脱维亚各界人士近700人，表演者108人，创历届活动人数之新高。

活动伊始, 梁建全大使、Valdis Segliņš副校长、尚劝余院长分别致辞，介绍了中国春节和拉国兔子形象，回顾孔院教学，展望中拉友好未来。活动在欢乐的氛围中继续进行。二十三个节目形式丰富多彩，精彩绝伦，现场气氛高涨。横戈百兽，推狮为首。一开场就是中国传统武术表演—舞狮。《春节传说》揭开春节神秘面纱，一曲悠扬的古筝弹奏—《春节序曲》余音绕梁，《我的朋友在哪里》和《朋友》牵动着中拉两国人民的心。除了中文表演，还有拉语歌曲《Kūko, Kūko Dzeguzīte》。于足间起舞，一支芭蕾舞融合了中国元素—《中国娃娃》。视频《凉凉》从中国的自然环境切入，通过视频演绎自然之美，叹为观止。除此之外，志愿者教师们通过一曲《孔院教师之歌》谱写中拉友谊新篇章，让汉语之花绚烂开放。节目接近尾声，一曲由心乐合唱团演唱的《贺新年》送上真诚的新春祝福。

此次活动不仅让当地人感受到春节的温暖、喜庆，也能让他们了解到更多关于中国传统节日的习俗，还推进中文教育事业的发展。辞旧迎新，吉兔迎春，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院祝大家新年快乐，万事胜意。
