Confucius Institute of the University of Latvia held the first Chinese Proficiency Test in 2023 successfully
On January 7, 2023 Beijing time, the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) organized by the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia was successfully completed. The Chinese Proficiency Test was conducted offline, covering HSK Levels 1 to 5, with four examination rooms and nine students participating in the test. The Chinese Proficiency Test was conducted in a fair and impartial manner, and the whole test was recorded on video.
Before the exam, the director of Confucius Institute of the University of Latvia, Mr. Shang Quanyu, organized relevant staff to prepare for the exam. The chief invigilator, Ms. Bai Bingyu, explained in detail the process of invigilation and clarified the duties of the invigilators and the precautions to be taken. The day before the exam, Ms. Bai Bingyu led the volunteer teachers to set up the examination room, post the information of the candidates and set up the equipment of the examination room. Ms. Anna Gao, Secretary of the Confucius Institute and exam interpreter, was responsible for the implementation of the exam notification.
On the day of the exam, the invigilators entered the exam room one hour before the exam to check the environment and set up the test equipment. Before the test started, the proctors checked the candidates’ pass and ID card, guided them to their seats in an orderly manner, and supervised the test in strict accordance with the HSK test operation procedure. During the examination, the examiners randomly entered the examination room for inspection. Candidates in each examination room focused their attention and answered carefully.
After the test, candidates left the examination room in an orderly manner. The invigilators carefully filled in and checked the examination room record form, checked the information of answer cards, candidate roster, candidate audio, etc.
With the joint efforts of all teachers, the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia concluded the first Chinese Proficiency Test in 2023 with a successful conclusion. In the future, the Confucius Institute will continue to improve the quality of Chinese test services and auctively promote the development of international Chinese language education in Latvia. 北京时间2023年1月7日，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院组织开展的汉语水平考试（HSK）工作顺利完成。本次汉语水平考试在线下进行，涵盖了HSK一级至五级，共设置四个考场，有9名学生参与考试。汉语水平考试秉持公平公正的原则进行，考试全程录像录音。
考前，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院院长尚劝余组织相关工作人员积极筹备考试相关事宜。总监考官白冰玉老师详细梳理了监考流程，明确了监考老师职责以及注意事项。在考试前一天，白冰玉老师带领志愿者教师布置考场、张贴考生信息并对考场设备进行调试。孔院秘书兼考试翻译高安娜女士负责落实考试通知。
考试当天，监考老师们在考前1小时进入考场检查考场环境并调试考试设备。临开考前，监考教师检查考生准考证、身份证等信息，引导考生有序入座，严格按照HSK考试操作流程进行监考。考试过程中，巡考官随机进入考场检查。各考场考生集中注意力、认真作答。
考试结束后，考生们有序离开考场。监考老师认真填写并检查考场记录表，核对答题卡、考生名册、考生音频等信息。
