The Opening Ceremony of the 10th Latvia Wushu Open Championships was Held

At 12:00 on February 25, 2023, Latvian time, the opening ceremony of the 10th Latvian Wushu Open Championship was successfully held at the Latvian Wushu Federation. Representatives from the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Latvia (Sun Jinhuan and Cai Wenzhen), Confucius Institute at University of Latvia (Shang Quanyu, Zhang Guiying, Zhong Mengting, Yang Yidan), Chinese Cultural Center in Riga (Wang Nan and Han Zhuang), Old Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant (Wang Songhua), Georgian Embassy in Latvia, and more than a hundred athlets and spectators from Latvia, Germany, Georgia, Lithuania  attended the opening ceremony. Roman Vlasenko, Executive Chairman of Latvian Wushu Federation presided over the opening ceremony and Janis Gedusevs, the Chairman of Latvian Wushu Federation delivered a speech. After the opening ceremony, Victoria Vlasenko presided over the reception and discussed with the guests how to further strengthen the cooperation between the Latvian Wushu Federation and its counterparts in China and other countries, so as to promote the vigorous development of martial arts in Latvia. The competition lasts for two days. The first day is Wushu Taolu competition, and the second day is Wushu Sanda and Bingdao competition. Zhong Mengting, volunteer Wushu teacher from the Confucius Institute serves as the referee throughout the process. The successful holding of the Wushu Open Championships will surely enhance the Latvian people’s understanding of Wushu, and carry forward the spirit of Wushu, and promote cultural exchanges!

拉脱维亚时间2023年2月25日12：00，第十届拉脱维亚武术锦标公开赛开幕式在拉脱维亚武术协会顺利举行，本届锦标公开赛由拉脱维亚大学孔子学院教学点拉脱维亚武术协会主办。参加开幕式的有中国驻拉脱维亚大使馆经商处孙金焕夫妇和蔡文震，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院中方院长尚劝余夫妇、武术志愿者教师钟梦婷和汉语志愿者教师杨一丹、里加中国文化中心主任王楠和顾问韩庄、老香港中餐厅老板王松华、格鲁吉亚大使馆人员、以及来自拉脱维亚、德国、格鲁吉亚、立陶宛等国的选手和观众百余人。开幕式由拉脱维亚武术协会执行主席罗曼·弗拉森科主持，主席亚尼斯·格杜塞夫致辞。开幕式后，维多利亚·弗拉森科主持招待会，与嘉宾们共同商讨进一步加强拉脱维亚武术协会与中国和其他国家合作，推动拉脱维亚推动武术体育运动蓬勃发展。本次比赛为期两天，第一天为武术套路比赛，第二天为武术散打和兵道比赛，孔子学院武术志愿者教师钟梦婷全程出任裁判。此次武术锦标公开赛的成功举办必将增强拉脱维亚民众对武术的了解，发扬武术精神，促进文化交流！
