LU Confucius Institute visits the Central and Eastern Europe branch of Nouvelles d’Europe

On May 8, 2023 local time, Shang Quanyu, director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia, Zhang Guiying, wife of the director, and volunteer teachers Tang Jing and Xu Shen went to Vienna, Austria to visit the Central and Eastern Europe branch of the Nouvelles d’Europe. The president Wang Gan warmly welcomed.

The two sides introduced their respective work and congratulated each other on their achievements in promoting Chinese language teaching and cultural activities. The two agreed to deepen communication and strengthen cooperation in the future, and work together to hold Chinese-language events and create brand IPs such as “Chinese Film Festival” and “Dragon Boat Race”.

After the visit, President Wang led a night tour of Vienna, introduced the history of the city, and climbed up to overlook the night view. In the cold environment and warm atmosphere, the visit ended successfully.

双方分别介绍了各自的工作情况，并对对方在推广中文教学和文化活动上取得的成就表示祝贺。双方约定，未来一定加深交流、加强合作，在举行中文活动、打造“中国电影节”“龙舟赛”等品牌IP方面携手献力。

会谈结束后，王社长带领大家夜游维也纳，介绍城市历史，并登高远眺多瑙河贯穿的城市夜色。在寒冷的环境和温暖的氛围中，此次拜访活动圆满结束。
