The 2022-2023 school year work summary conference and cruise activities were successfully held
At 10 a.m. on June 19, 2023, Professor Shang Quanyu, the Chinese director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia, Professor Peteris Pildegovics, the Latvian Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia, Ms. Anastasija Galkina, the secretary of the Confucius Institute, local teachers Evita Kalme and Madara Smalkā, and Zhang Hanxu, Yang Baoru and other 20 volunteer teachers and government-sent teacher Bai Bingyu held a summary meeting of the academic year in the main building of the University of Latvia. Everyone summarized the work done in the 2022-2023 school year in turn, told various warm or interesting stories between themselves and the students, and also exchanged the confusion encountered in the teaching process. At the end of the meeting, the two directors also summarized the work of the volunteers in this school year and placed higher expectations on the work of the new school year.
Most of our volunteer teachers are novice teachers, and it is the first time for them to stand on the podium in a foreign country to spread Chinese culture and Chinese knowledge. In order to better present the Chinese language and Chinese culture, the teachers not only devote their attention to the limited lectures in the classroom, but also actively explore new teaching techniques , integrate various teaching resources, and enthusiastically communicate with students after class. They also help students solve the problems encountered in the learning process. Volunteer teachers have said that only by formulating teaching objectives and teaching content suitable for students on the basis of in-depth understanding of students, can the teaching effect be achieved twice the result with half the effort. In addition, they believed that through the various activities held or hosted by the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia this year, they have gained sufficient experience and profound friendship. We believe that this period of struggling together will shine brightly in the hearts of every teacher after time has passed.
After the conference, the Confucius Institute organized teachers to go on a cruise. Everyone on the boat sang their love for the Chinese cause, recorded the scenery along the coast with their eyes, and remembered this glorious period with their hearts. Let us sincerely wish the cause of Chinese education to a higher level, and wish the teachers better and better！
2023年6月19日上午10点，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院中方院长尚劝余教授，拉方院长贝德高教授，孔院秘书高安娜女士，本部本土教师艾薇塔和马笑笑以及张涵絮、杨宝茹等二十位志愿者教师和公派教师白冰玉在拉脱维亚大学主楼进行了学年工作总结大会。大家依次总结了在2022-2023学年内所做的各项工作，讲述了自己与学生之间发生的各种或温馨或有趣的故事，也交流了在教学过程中遇到的困惑。大会接近尾声时两位院长也就志愿者们在这一学年的各项工作进行了总结并对新学年的工作寄予了更高的期望。
我们的志愿者教师们大多为新手教师，多是第一次站在异国他乡的讲台上传播中国文化和汉语知识。为了将中文和中国文化更好地呈现出来，教师们不仅将心思花在课堂上有限的讲授中，课下也积极地探索新的教学技术，整合各种教学资源，热心地和学生进行沟通，帮助他们解决学习过程中遇到的问题。志愿者教师们纷纷表示只有在深入地了解学生的基础上，制定适合学生的教学目标和教学内容，才能达到事半功倍的教学效果。另外，志愿者教师们认为通过这一年在拉脱维亚大学孔子学院举办或承办的各项活动中得到了充分的历练，收获了深厚的友情。相信这段一起奋斗的日子经过时间沉淀会在每一位老师的心中闪闪发光。
大会结束后，孔子学院组织教师们进行了游船活动。大家在船上用歌声唱出对中文事业的热爱，用眼睛记录下沿岸的风景，用心记住这一段光辉岁月。衷心祝愿中文教育事业更上一层楼，祝福教师们发展得越来越好！
