Faculty of Humanities at LU Hosts Film-themed Chinese Corner Activity 人文学院举办观影主题汉语角活动

On March 22, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. local time in Riga, the second Chinese Corner event of 2024 was held at Room 431 at Faculty of Humanities, University of Latvia. During this event, 17 Chinese language enthusiasts from various sectors of society as well as students from Confucius Institutes gathered to watch the film “Journey to the West” directed by Kong Dashan. After the screening, attendees engaged in lively discussions on various themes presented in the film, including the exploration of extraterrestrial journeys, Chinese rural life in the 1990s, extraterrestrial civilizations, the translated title of the film, and the translation of modern poetry in the film. Many students highly praised the film, giving it scores of 8 or even full marks out of 10, expressing their appreciation for the film. The Chinese Corner remains committed to organizing diverse language exchange activities that stimulate students’ interests and provide an engaging and authentic Chinese-language environment for Chinese language enthusiasts in Latvia.

里加时间2024年3月22日下午六点至八点半，拉脱维亚大学人文学院本学年第二场汉语角活动在人文学院主楼431教室举行。本次活动上，来自社会各界以及孔子学院各教学点的17位汉语爱好者和中国留学生观看了由孔大山导演的影片《宇宙探索编辑部》。观影结束后，大家就片中呈现的探索外星人之旅、九十年代的中国乡村、地外文明、电影英文片名及片中的现代诗翻译等主题进行了热烈讨论。许多学生为电影打出了8分甚至满分10分的高分，表达自己对影片的欣赏。汉语角将继续致力于以多样的语言交流活动激发学生兴趣、为拉脱维亚汉语爱好者提供有趣真实的中文环境。
