Jelgava Spidola Gymnasium Experienced Spring Festival

当地时间2月14日，拉脱维亚大学孔院下属斯比杜拉中学教学点的志愿者教师张扬，为学生们送去了一场别开生面的新春文化体验活动。学生们表示，今后对学习汉语及中国文化的兴趣更浓了。

活动开始时，汉语教师志愿者张扬为学生们讲解了中国春节的起源，并播放了有关春节传统的动画片《元日》，抓住了学生们的眼球。提到新年必须要提十二生肖，在为大家讲解了十二生肖的故事之后，同学们不仅知道了今年是狗年，还能争先恐后地说出自己的属相，“我属龙！”“我属马！”“我属羊！”

随后志愿者教师带领大家一起了解了春节的春联、福字、庙会、灯笼等元素后，大家一同发挥创造力，动手设计“中国盘儿”，同学们完成作品后，都欣喜地举起手中的成果，并一一上台为大家介绍自己的设计理念。

通过本次新春体验活动，同学们不但对中国春节元素有了体验，也对中国新春生肖文化有了进一步了解。

On February 14th, Chinese volunteer teacher Zhang Yang sent students at Spidola gymnasium a fascinating cultural experience of the Chinese New year. At the end of activity, Students said they were more interested in learning Chinese and Chinese culture in the future.

 

At the beginning of the activity, the Chinese volunteer teacher explained to the students the origin of the Chinese New year, and played an catching-eye animation film about the Spring Festival tradition Yuan Ri. After explaining the story of the zodiac, the students not only know that this is the year of the Dog, but also scramble to say their own signs, “I am Dragon!” “I am horse! “I am sheep! ”

Then the volunteer teacher led us to understand the Spring Festival Spring Festival elements like couplets, blessing characters Fu福, ground fairs, red lanterns. After that,students had their own opportunity to design the “Chinese Plate”.The students lifted their achievements happily after finishing it. And then, introduce their design concept to others one by one.

Through this Spring Festival experience, students not only experienced the elements of Chinese Spring Festival, but also got a better understanding of the Chinese Lunar New year zodiac culture.
