Students from Transport and Telecommunication Institute celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival together

当地时间9月25日19点，拉脱维亚交通与电信大学汉语初级班举行了一次中秋节文化活动。

汉语教师志愿者王昕借助图片、视频等方式向学生们主要介绍了中秋节的日期、起源、传说、以及中秋节的习俗等，让学生们全面了解了中国的中秋节。随后，教师播放了一个纽约路人品尝月饼的视频，并让学生们猜测自己是否会喜欢月饼，待学生们一一回答后，教师便将准备好的月饼发给大家，请大家一起品尝月饼，让学生们亲身感受中国的传统食物，进一步加深了学生们对中秋节的了解。

本次活动不仅让学生们全面了解了中国的中秋节，同时也增添了学生们对中国传统文化的兴趣，大家都非常期待下一次的中华文化体验。

At 7pm local time on September 25th, Chinese language class in Transport and Telecommunication Institute celebrated the Mid – Autumn Festival.

Teacher Wang introduced the dates, origins, legends, and customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival to the students by videos and pictures, which let the students more deeply understand the Mid-Autumn Festival in China. Later, the teacher played a video about the New York passerby tasting moon cakes and after watching that, the teacher asked the students whether they would like the moon cakes. After the students answered one by one, the teacher gave the prepared moon cakes to everyone and then they enjoyed the moon cakes together which further deepen the students’ understanding of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

This activity not only gives students a comprehensive understanding of China’s Mid-Autumn Festival, but also increases students’ interest in Chinese traditional culture. Everyone is looking forward to the next Chinese cultural experience.
