The Lovely Panda & Fun with Paper-cut Cultural Lecture Held in Riga Technical University Chinese Corner

拉脱维亚当地时间2018年10月26日下午，里加理工大学汉语角成功举办了“可爱熊猫&趣味剪纸”主题文化体验活动。

在讲座中，汉语志愿者教师汤蕴新从熊猫的分布、饮食、种群数量、保护政策、人文意义等方面，向现场的学生详细介绍了中国国宝熊猫。在介绍熊猫时，志愿者教师还现场教授“熊猫”、“竹子”、“眼睛”、“耳朵”等词语，在座的零基础学生学习兴趣浓厚。在有奖提问环节，大家积极回答，不仅收获了来自中国的熊猫剪纸书签礼物，而且收获了汉语带来的惊喜和感动。

介绍了熊猫后，志愿者教师还结合了中国民间艺术剪纸，让可爱的熊猫穿上喜气的红装，现场的学生十分喜爱，迫不及待地动手实践，体验中国剪纸。

During the cultural lecture, Chinese volunteer teacher Tang Yunxin introduced the Chinese national treasure panda to the students in terms of location, diet, population, protection policy, significance etc. When introducing pandas, the volunteer teacher also taught Chinese words such as “xiongmao”, “zhuzi”, “yanjing” and “erduo”. Students who are present have a keen interest in learning. In the award-winning quiz session, everyone responded positively. Not only did they gain the panda paper-cut bookmarks, but they also received the surprise and feeling of Chinese.

After introducing the pandas, the volunteer teacher also explained Chinese folk art paper-cut, and made the lovely pandas put on the auspicious red dress. The students are very fond of it, and can’t wait to experience Chinese paper-cut.

At the end of the lecture, everyone pleasantly held their panda paper-cut and took a photo with their own panda paper-cut works. What’s more, they expressed their interest in Chinese and Chinese culture. And also hoped that they would have more opportunities to experience colorful Chinese culture.
