Confucius Classroom at Daugavpils University successfully held graduation examination of Chinese elective course

On June 7, 2021, local time, the Confucius Classroom at Daugavpils University successfully held the Chinese elective course graduation examination. Due to the impact of the epidemic, the examination took the form of online. The whole course of the examination was hosted by Ms Inesa, the teaching secretary of the Department of foreign languages at Daugavpils University. The assessment board was composed of Professor Shang Quanyu, the Chinese Director of Confucius Institute at University of Latvia, Professor Bei Degao, the Latvian Director of Confucius Institute at University of Latvia, and volunteer teacher Gao Qing. The student for the examination is just the second year’s student who graduated from the the Confucius Classroom at Daugavpils University.

The examination was divided into two parts, the written test and the oral test. The student selected the papers by drawing lots. After preparation, members of the board asked questions and the student answered. After that, the students temporarily leaved, and the three members discussed together and gave the student marks. According to the student’s performance on the spot and her daily Chinese learning, the board unanimously agreed that the student passed the examination. Finally, Professor Bei read out the result to the student, and gave comment and encouragement. Everyone else also conveyed affirmation and congratulation to the student, hoping that she will continue to go on with her love and enthusiasm for Chinese in the future.

当地时间2021年6月7日，道加瓦皮尔斯大学孔子课堂顺利举行了汉语选修课毕业考试。由于疫情影响，此次考试采取线上形式。考试全程由道加瓦皮尔斯大学外语系教学秘书乐桑女士主持，考核委员会由拉脱维亚大学孔子学院中方院长尚劝余教授、拉方院长贝德高教授和志愿者教师高晴组成。参加考试的学生卡恰是从道加瓦皮尔斯大学孔子课堂毕业的第二届学生。

考试共有笔试和口试两个部分，学生用抽签方式选取试卷。准备完毕后，由考核委员会成员提问，学生作答。之后学生暂时回避，由三位评分人一起讨论并给予学生分数。委员会根据学生的当场表现，结合日常汉语学习情况，一致同意学生通过考试。最后，贝德高教授向学生宣读了成绩，并给予了点评与鼓励。大家也向学生送去肯定与祝贺，希望她今后继续带着对汉语的喜爱和热情走下去。
