The Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia held the “Chinese Culture Talk Show Night” successfully
On December 5, 2022, Latvian time, the “Chinese Culture Talk Show Night” hosted by the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia was held in the auditorium of the University of Latvia. The event invited the Rector of the University of Latvia, Professor Indriķis Muižnieks, and the Director of the Confucius Institute at Tallinn University, Anete Elken. American talk show actor Jesse Appell conducted a discussion on Chinese comedy culture with more than a hundred Chinese and Latvian audiences in the form of lectures.
At the beginning of the lecture, Jesse Appell introduced Chinese cross talk, and used exquisite language to let the audiences understand the four forms of cross talk, which are “speaking, learning, amusing, and singing”. Jesse’s proficient Peking Opera and Guankou performances were praised by the audience, allowing everyone to experience the fun of cross talk in person. Then Jesse Appell talked about his experience of performing comedy in China, shared his thoughts on Chinese humor and his research on Chinese Internet culture. In the final free question-and-answer session, the audiences actively asked questions about the content of the lecture.
Jesse Appell’s wonderful performance let everyone know more about Chinese comedy. He built a bridge between Chinese and Western comedy with talk show and cross talk, and narrowed the distance between the people of China and Latvia.
- gada 5. decembrī Latvijas Universitātes auditorijā notika Latvijas Universitātes Konfūcija institūta rīkotā “Ķīniešu kultūras sarunu šova nakts”.
Pasākumā piedalījās Latvijas Universitātes rektors profesors Indriķis Muižnieks, Tallinas Universitātes Konfūcija institūta direktore Anete Elken, kā arī amerikāņu stand-up komiķis Džessijs Appells, kurš lekciju veidā rīkoja diskusiju par ķīniešu komēdiju kultūru ar vairāk nekā 100 ķīniešu un latviešu auditoriju.
Lekcijas sākumā Džessijs Appells iepazīstināja skatītājus ar ķīniešu šķērsrunu, lai ļautu auditorijai saprast četrus šķērsrunas veidus – “runāšanu, mācīšanos, parodiju un dziedāšanu”. Džessija Appella izveicīgu Pekinas operu un Guankou skatītāji augsti novērtējā. Ikvienam bija iespēja apgūt šķērsrunas jautrību aizraujošā veidā. Pēc tam, Džessijs Appells stāstīja par savu pieredzi Ķīnas komēdijā, dalījās ar pārdomām par ķīniešu humoru un pētījumiem par ķīniešu interneta kultūru. Beigās skatītāji aktīvi uzdeva jautājumus par lekcijas saturu.
Džessija Appella brīnišķīgā izrāde deva iespēju visiem uzzināt vairāk par ķīniešu komēdiju. Komiķis izmantoja sarunu šovu un šķērsrunu, lai izveidotu tiltu starp ķīniešu un rietumu komēdiju, sašaurinot attālumu starp Ķīnas un Latvijas iedzīvotājiem.
拉脱维亚时间2022年12月5日，由拉脱维亚大学孔子学院主办的“中国文化脱口秀之夜”在拉脱维亚大学大礼堂举行。此次活动邀请了拉脱维亚大学校长穆伊日涅克斯教授以及塔林大学孔子学院院长安黛女士等嘉宾，美国脱口秀演员艾杰西以讲座的形式与现场百余位中拉观众一起，开展了一场对中国喜剧文化的探讨。
讲座伊始，艾杰西介绍了中国的相声，用精妙的语言让观众了解了“说、学、逗、唱”这四种相声形式。杰西熟练的京剧及贯口表演更是获得全场称赞，让大家身临其境地体验到了相声的乐趣。随后艾杰西讲述了自己在中国表演喜剧的经历，分享了自己对中式幽默的思考以及对中国互联网文化的研究。在最后的自由问答环节，现场观众就着讲座的内容进行了踊跃的提问。
艾杰西的精彩演出让大家对中国的喜剧有了更多的了解，他用脱口秀加相声搭起了中西喜剧之桥，拉近了中拉两国人民之间的距离。
