The Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia successfully held a fun-filled Twenty-Four Solar Terms event from 18:00-19:30 on March 1, 2024, in Classroom 410 of Rūpniecības iela 10, The host of the event was Zhang Hanxu, a teacher at the Confucius Institute. This event attracted about 20 teachers, students and other people who were interested in Chinese.

The host kicked off the event with a fascinating opening video, and then gave a brief introduction to the origin and cultural connotation of the twenty-four solar terms. At the same time, the Latvian names and naming rules of each solar term are introduced. The participants then experienced the hand-making of the twenty-four solar terms, independently learned the knowledge related to each solar term, and communicated in groups. In the prize-winning Q&A session, the participants actively competed for the twenty-four solar terms mystery box prizes, and the exciting competition makes event was even more exciting.

Another highlight of the activity was the folk games “Egg Standing on the Spring Equinox” and “Egg Fighting on the Beginning of Summer”, which guided students to independently explore the similarities and differences with Latvian Easter folk customs, creating a cheerful atmosphere. Later, the students learned about the traditional kite flying activity, showing the active application of the twenty-four solar terms culture in modern life. Finally, everyone learned about the making method of rice ball, tasted spring rolls, and made spring cakes, which brought the whole event to a perfect end.

The rich and colorful content of this event has encouraged more people to have a basic understanding of the twenty-four solar terms culture, and a rich and colorful bridge will be built for cultural exchanges between China and Latvia.

拉脱维亚大学孔子学院本部于2024年3月1日18:00-19:30，在本部410教室成功举办了一场充满乐趣的二十四节气活动。活动主持人是孔子学院本部教师张涵絮，本次活动吸引了约二十名师生及其他对汉语感兴趣的民众参与。

主持人以引人入胜的开视频拉开序幕，紧接着对二十四节气的起源、文化内涵等进行简要介绍。同时，介绍了各节气的拉语名称、命名规律。参与者随后体验了二十四节气手工制作，自主了解每个节气相关的知识，分组交流，在有奖问答环节中，参与者们积极争夺二十四节气盲盒奖品，紧张刺激的竞答让整个活动更加精彩。

活动的另一亮点是民俗游戏“春分竖蛋”、“立夏斗蛋”玩法，引导学生自主探索其与拉脱维亚节日复活节民俗的异同点，营造了欢快的氛围。随后，学生们了解了传统的放风筝活动，展现了二十四节气文化在现代生活中的活跃应用。最后大家一起了解元宵的制作方法、品尝春卷、制作春饼环节，为整场活动画上了完美的句号。

本次丰富多彩的活动内容促使更多人对二十四节气文化有了基本的了解，为中拉文化交流搭建了一座丰富多彩的桥梁。
